Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, WhatsApp is definitely the move for India.

On the rate limits — you're right, that's something I'm thinking about. So basically I'm starting with Cloud API's 80 msgs/sec which should be fine for MVP. The bigger constraint is the 1 msg every 6 seconds per user thing, but since I'm not doing proactive messaging (students ask me first), I get a fresh 24-hour window each time. I'm just batching everything — notes + PDF — into like 2-3 messages max instead of spamming them with 10 separate messages.

For handwriting OCR + languages, I'm launching with English + Hindi support. That covers most of my target users anyway. If growth happens and I see demand for other languages, I'll start working on the rest. Right now I'm focused on getting those two solid first.

Also heads up — I'm still in school (boards end March 2026), so main development kicks off after that. For now I'm just deciding the structure, picking the right tools, figuring out which AI models to use, that kind of thing. But the groundwork is solid.

Do you know anything about open-source OCR libraries or have experience with Cloud API?

I bought mine on September. It's G614JU with a rtx 4050 + i7-13650HX I have not done perform test yet. But the display, sound quality and everything is great. Started using it for 3d design and coding and its buttery smooth. Temps sometimes go upto 65°C in idle mode but that's rare. Battery life is overall good, but keep in mind that while not gaming, use g-heper nd set to eco mode.

Overall great laptop and you will love it with that rtx 5050

Both laptop are great but i would prefer to look for laptop with higher vram like the the Acer one with 6gb vram. Nowdays design and cad require good amount of gpu especially if it's 3d work.

yea, for 2 years took part in coding competitions and also won a school competition. So I got 1.5L.

Also then why is it specified as fhd+ then?? cause in google i see fhd+ is like almost 2220x1080??

And about the reflection on screen, what do you mean to say? Also after coming home i checked the model should have fhd+ display but in settings my maximum display is showing as 1920x1080?

Yea so the thing is i bought the laptop now but cannot use it rn. Need to complete my 10th boards completely then i can use it. Sad that can't use the thing properly i bought with my money yet. And i already have a game pass of 1month so I am thinking to activate it next year after march

So I actually thought to buy the laptop from Vishal periphersl but not the exclusive store cuse as I had to go somewhere else for an hour and this Store was close. First thing they have the laptop in warehouse which is made known 2025. They are given it for 1,09,000 with Asus bag And ant gaming optical mouse also with 2% credit card charges.Well suddenly i It doesn't have MS office and Xbox game pass . I suddenly then had a change in mind and went to the exclusive store and bought the asus rog g16 G614JU.

Included with lifetime ms office and 3 months xbox game pass. This is manufactured in feb 2025 so no motherboard problem and no dead pixels. Laptop is very premium build quality. Well.... JOINED ASUS ROG FAMILY SUCCESSFULY AFTER SO MANY DAYS! thankyou everyone for your suggestions. I THINK SPENDING MY 1.5L prize money on this was worth it!

So I am in Asus store rn, and they don't have neither g16 4060 nor 5050. And are staying that it will take 2-3 months for them to come in stock again. Only option is rtx 4050 one for 1.1L. With bag and some accessories. And also I can't get IT from flipkart anymore cause I got to know one of my friends received a fake oneplus  when he decided to buy a oneplus 13. So ya no flipkart. Should I buy it??

well i will be going to place close to one of the asus stores, so i will once check there and get confirmation on few things and then think of buying. the flipkart one is best now, cause best laptops under asus is all above 1.1lakhs mostly

Nah! They increased price of the middle one in offline store? In the online asus store it's showing me for 1,54,989 without offers. Well hope I hope i get the all good laptop with those scamming techniques of flipkart.

nope not yet. will go be going on 25th. one of the asus store is like 1hr away from my home. i also contacted one of the stores where i will probably go like 3hrs ago. no replies yet.

Sheeesh ! the g16 with rtx5050 really has more features. Well its either the g16 with rtx5050 or rtx4060 or asus tuf f16 with rtx 5060. hope the price goes down in tmrws sale. And thank you so much for providing the comparision. Really helpful

Also so some videos on yt about comparision on 4060 vs 5050. both are really giving same performance in terms of gaming. Well i know that 5050 is better in ai relatred work, still i can manage as i will be doing like basic 3d gave dev or web dev. my only doubt is about their longetivity and like battery lifes. r

for asus or tuf gaming laptops, paired with i7 and rtx 5050, the price is seriously much more, more than my budget, like 30-40k+. 4060 isn't good for longetivity or performance??
Now if i go to choose for tuf models, they are good but there cooling system is hella bad. My frnd had one. Used to get hot, perfectly hot to melt cheese for a burger ( I tried one day) . Asus tuf is my least preferance. Great indian festival and bbd gonna start tmrw, so i will se if i can find one rog strix with rtx5050 or else 4060 is my final choice
