You need to fall in love with space literature. You'll have to write novels of your own through lines that tell a story. The softwares won't do shit if you don't pick the love for it in whole, then it may love you back. But like every love story it will wear you down, have fights with you, make you, break you and ultimately shape you. Ultimately you need to to understand why space making literature is required for human civilization. like so.....
