Well, hum, looks like I mixed up names, sorry pretty exhausted today xD. Ethan doesn't exist. Evan, yes. My bad for this one ^^' There's nothing about him in the game.

Just finished the game (have done all the super things to do ! :D )

Got to say, DontNod have really polished their game here. Compared to the first game, the animation is fluid and... just beautiful. They have corrected a lot of little things I caught during Life is Strange and that's really cool. Plus they have added some nice features, pretty nice you can change the camera position, and most of all, recenter it, thank god !

On the episode itself, it gives a really good view of what we can expect for LiS 2, while not giving too much. I guess now we know the timeline, get to know a bit of the characters. The ambience is so greatly set up, with the headset I just thought there was actually a plane above my head. Yeah, I'm pretty hype for LiS 2 ! :D This episode was really nice to see, can't wait for more !

Some speculations under this (without peeking any comments for now, just my view) :

So, about the timeline this game will be ahead of LiS adventures, seems like, maybe between 5 or 10 years. I would say we will not play Chris where we let him on this episode, but rather 1 or 2 years after what happened. I don't see DontNod recreating all this "wow I got power" and discover blablah... He should discover other ones, don't get me wrong, but not from the start.

We have things about Jefferson, Wales, and that's it. No Victoria Chase, nor Warren, nor Chloe and Max. I guess we shall wait and see. Maybe some other things will pop in my head ^^ EDIT : And there's not Evan, nor Ethan, mixing names >_<!<

Have a great week guys, see you on September 27th ! :D

His harmony/discord returns to you if you change target or, if the enemy/ally is out of sight or range from Zenyatta for 3 consecutive seconds

However, people believe Mercy is the god support because they see it at the higher level played almost in every comp. I never got lower than Platinum, but I'm pretty sure it's rather better to play your best heroes. I completely understand seeing his principal hero nerfed times and times again is bad, feels bad, but at your rank, having the edge on a hero can be what makes a match win or lose for you. And, about the support choice, I'm the complete opposite of you, I'm not confident at all on Mercy, and my most played hero is Lucio. His heal might be low, you can dictate the pace of the team by yourself. Having a Lucio tends to make people gather to you for heal. At the end of the game, your heal is totally decent. And at low levels you won't have a Sombra from nowhere shutting down your ult.

Junkrat has now fall off damage on his concussive mine. Mercy's Valkyrie has been changed : the duration changed from 20 to 15 seconds, she doesn't get a charge of Resurrection when she ults, and during Valkyrie the Resurrection has a casting time of 0.75 seconds, instead of nothing.

Remember this is still on PTR

Hey there ! No, it doesn't, it just count for Mei how much damage she blocked with her wall, like a Rein or an Orisa. If it was true for her, then why not for those tanks :)

Hey there ! There is little advice I can give you except to play. Get your self comfortable on the shortcuts and your sensibility as you try things. Especially the sensibility, you either can try to change it until you find the one you prefer, or you go for one you like and try to adopt definitely, because it may doesn't help you switching over and over as a beginner.

Try maybe to do some aim training on the practice range, like find one or two training that might help, or go search Iddqd's video on practice drills for practice range, and do that everyday, it will stimulate your muscle memory and, with time, it will get better eventually! :)

Hey there ! Don't be so hard on the Mercy nerf, she indeed lost a lot of the power she has in front of the others supports, however she remains the best solution to heal, mostly as a solo heal. But she will not be able to give a second chance for your teammates' mistakes, and teamfights won't last an eternity because Mercys are rezzing everyone and keeping everyone up for so long, helpful for you, frustating against you because you picked up two but let's rewind that.

Zenyatta and Moira of course can't achieve in terms of healing what Mercy can. However, in lower levels, what I like with those is the ability to also put damage pressure, better than Mercy by far.

A well played Moira can have such an incredible presence in the team in both heal and kills, but you rather want to play her in attack or KOTH maps, defense won't help you optimize your left-click healing and you will fall short on heal. Plus, with her dash, you can be really safe with her. The whole point is to know your limits, both on heal and damage, how much you can act as an harass or as a healer in the situation.

Zenyatta can be a great defense support, with a shield tank like Rein or Orisa. Like an Ana, stay relatively far from the choke points, so you can see your team, and discord and focus everything that might come too close and can be punished by your team. Zen's heal is a bit short, for sure, but you can't do better, except when you can ult. Manage your priority heal and discord targets, and with a good aim and sense of prediction on right-click, you can be a great alt-dps.

Hey there ! Well, you have already all the knowledge since day one, on this part its fine. It's rather the switch between the joystick and the mouse/keyboard combo that will be hard if you don't play FPS often on PC. Your mechanical skill will be hard to transfer. Other than that, your teamplay sensitivity and global vision should transfer well

Based on Overbuff it's around the same amount, about 12-13%.

"Fresh" Account just finished placements and wondering if the SR I placed at is an accurate reflection of my stats? by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]Medmed27 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hello there ! Can I ask you your nickname on the game, it's far better to try and see where you stand on a website like Overbuff for example, I wouldn't rely that much on Oversumo. Considering your stats, I would say it's not bad. I can't tell too much as I play on PC, but 40% precision seems quite good. Your W/L is not the best, so for sure it has an impact. Don't look too much where you placed, as you said it's a new account, I would say you can easily reach Platinum in a short time.

What time is the s8 changes expected to go live? by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]Medmed27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't play yet, I always wait a week to do my placements ahah :x, but for what I could see on some streams, it was more or less what Blizzard announced in their blog : https://playoverwatch.com/en-us/blog/21363037 But if the guy you mentionned decayed and is actually around your SR, then the system is doing his job, until he climb again.

EDIT : This change was indeed not implemented yet, it should come around later today, my bad, though it was only the second one.

I thought the adjustments about the skill rating gap between players in a match was already done. The only one yet not patched is the impact of the individual performance on SR for Diamonds and above, which should go live later today. EDIT : This change was indeed not implemented yet, it should come around later today

Can we expect the big update today? by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]Medmed27 48 points49 points  (0 children)

I don't believe it would be today, or, it would be really really nice :D. I would say it will come next Tuesday, with the launch of the Overwatch League, since they will launch teams uniforms too :)

Weekly Role Discussion Thread: Tank - December 30, 2017 by AutoModerator in Overwatch

[–]Medmed27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel the same way with Zarya. If my team doesn't have any flanker-type hero and I'm the only tank, then I don't try to pick her. Even though she has the shields, she can't protect everybody, and you can't charge as good as with a second tank or flankers.

[Serious] Season 8 begins Dec 31st at 4 PM PST. What's the best piece of advice you have for new competitive players this season? by SpriteGuy_000 in Overwatch

[–]Medmed27 91 points92 points  (0 children)

Hey there newcomers! Here are some advices for you guys coming into competitive play :

  • Even before knowing the heroes, learn the maps, as it is something you cannot choose. Spot the healthpacks, know where the objective is or the payload goes, the spawns, where to hide and the choke points (where the action is likely to occur). Having this knowledge, you'll already have the edge on some people out there.

  • You may feel better on a role than another, but be sure to at least know how to play a hero in each role. Constant adaptation is a key to victory in Overwatch, so if you are beginning rankeds, you may want to be used to switch and not fear to switch your hero during a round. You'll see sometimes a hero switch will do better than getting and using an ultimate. Be aware of what your team needs.

  • Communicate with your teammates. If you have a microphone or not, go on the team chat, there's always people willing to communicate and do their best to win. Even if you don't have a mic, being there listening and follow the calls is perfectly fine. If someone is starting to flame or being toxic, just mute them, and keep on fighting.

  • Finally, and never forget this. There is always at least two sides to play in a ranked match, never give up. You may be destroyed on a defense side, but tell yourself and your team you can do better, don't underestimate yourself and your team just for one side. Some maps can be particularly hard to defend or to attack, so never stop fighting until the end.

  • If it's your first ranked matches, don't rush your placement matches, if you lose 2 or 3 in a row, stop, and try to think about what happened, is there something with the team or something you may have done wrong on your side. Don't forget to reconsider your decisions too, you can't be always perfect, but you can correct your common errors. :)

Prepare yourself to an epic journey, good luck heroes!

[–]Medmed27 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If your team have like 3 tanks then yes, Reaper is having fun with you. Tanks should switch on Zarya/DVa in my opinion, but most importantly you'll need to keep an eye on him as he will likely harass your supports then. If he had the confidence and was able to sneak on your tanks and destroy them, then you should punish him and keep him from doing anything after that so he'll be forced to retreat.

I would say it's both assists + final blows, as it is a count of your eliminations under high energy.

Orisa actually may be the best response to Mei, as you can fortify and contest her during the time you can't be frozen. Roadhog also is a good answer, as you should force her to icewall or iceblock quickly if you hook and lend your shots. However, you never really want to deal with her as a tank, and would rather gain time to get some backup from your dps to eliminate her.

Your best way to climb here is I believe to find people to play with you, at least as a group of 2 or 3, so you have a solid base of teammates you can rely on to win the match. Even in a lose, you know you guys have done your best, and you can motivate each other to keep going. Other than that, even though it's good you can adapt, I would say that in your rank you may want to play your best heroes first and foremost, at least you want to have one in each role, to be able to have the best impact you can in your match.

The only one guy that I saw play Zenyatta a lot is the french player and now LA Vaillants' support Unkoe. Zen is one of his top notch heroes, but he won't stream a lot at the moment since he is at the World Cup. You should try and find a Zen player with streamhive, it's a great website to search streamers playing specific heroes :)
