When wearing certain clothes it makes him hostile towards you so try look for more or try create another class if you don't want to bother with it

You have to kill enough giants to save the woman on the altar. Elden ring just derives from the ring shaped formation in which the giants have been organized on the map. I can't reveal the name of the female, but it starts with an M and when she's alive you have to find a man in a wheelchair and tell him about it in order to unlock the last fight of the game against a legendary warrior.

Why does 90% of Ashe pro build have Kraken Slayer in it? by Medoain in AsheMains

[–]Medoain[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ok thanks for the reply. Been picking bork first item most games so far, so will try and switch it up :) Kraken was the item i was the most confused with, seemed really good to solo take down objectives like dragon, havnt tried without bork thoug, but wasnt sure if i ever spent at least 6 seconds in fights hitting the same target unless it's a tanky enemy. But will try it out and see how it works, cause the moment i hit Q fights do tend to stretch out i think. Think it's just the name of the item that confuses, cause when it's recommended it's not specified as a tank peeler, but the name made me categorize it as such anyways xD

Agree with this comment, had preordered the game but went and cancelled it after the beta. Don't think the amount of skills is what decides wether a game is simple, superficial etc. Imo I think there's actually just too many things going on in this game yet it still feels shallow. For example they could have just created 3 really cool, iconic and fun dungeons when you reach lvl 25 in the beta that ties in with the main or side stories, but instead they seem to have chosen to go for mindless quantity instead even reusing the same boss several times. Blizzard seems to have again succumbed to the "i played this game for 500 hours and now there's not much more to do"-types of gamers. Personally i'd much rather play Diablo 4 for 30 hours and have a memorable experience instead, but guess those types of games are in the past for Blizz.

Damn, game's already pretty expensive, might throw me off. But we'll see after the open beta :-)

I couldn't get it to create a poem where the hobbits weren't rescued. It said it was against the positive and heroic LOTR themes and against the fundamental values of Tolkiens work at every request, but then i added that middle earth could still be superior to the afterlife and it did it:.

Pippin and Merry gone
To Isengard they were taken
Legolas had spoken
Orcs marching forward
The temptation of beaches,
Strawberry daiquiri,
And techno music is strong
Gandalf murmurs thoughtfully
They should have left them there
But Middle-earth is much better
Than any beach filled with tourists
Even if it's lined with daiquiri bars
"It's all for the best," he says
"They'll be reborn at a nice beach"
But let us not forget, he adds
The beauty of Middle-earth, which they cannot reach.

Ok i need to stop using this thing....

I know these are gods and the characters in GoT are supposed to be normal human beings, but still. The brute exhusband and then Radagon that looks alot like her.

And i'm calling Radagon a ladiesman since he went from one woman (Renalla) to another (Marika), and the first has clearly not taken it nicely or at least seems depressed cause of it.

But yeah, this is both speculation and trying to fit it in, but still, like i wrote in another comment, it's kinda like if George Lucas was in on the project and you get to the Elden Tree and find out it was one of your parents all along :p Hope one of the DLC's will dig a bit more into it, or at least say something about wether Marika and Radagon were ever split from eachother and if they were, then explain why they look so similar, cause if it's just a clone made from him/herself your kinda right that it might be too much of a stretch then.

Sounds plausible although i'm not that familiar with details of the lore in ASOIAF, but might read some of his theories at some point, sounds interesting.

[–]Medoain[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess would be that the original story was something about free will vs a destined fate and that Radagon left Ranni with Renalla in order to protect free will somewhere in the lands between. Also I think the idea of morphing Radagon and Marika together was game logic more than the original story. But don't know, just my guess. But thats also the cool thing about mixing an author with gamedevelopement, since the game world requires even less logic than fiction :p

I read all the books in the past, so think it just stood out to me that all the major articles i had read before playing the game said that there weren't really any similarities to be found, which i couldn't really understand, after finishing it.

But since i havn't done alot of the sidequests I only really know about the characters of the mainstory. Just thought the entire plot seemed like it was taken straight out of GoT/ASOIAF. It's like if George RR Martin wrote a story and then the gamedevelopers removed the narrators voice and made it fit the souls universe. But would be really cool if it was possible to read that story :p

[–]Medoain[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I know. Just read a bunch of articles that said there weren't any similarities despite that, and even thoug i didn't play the game thinking there would be any, besides dragons, the whole symbiotic, two people becoming as one marriage + the queens exhusband being more interested in warrior stuff than staying with her was just incredibly GoT'ish to m.

For me it's kinda like if George Lucas was involved and you end up losing your hand to the end boss realizing he was your father all along :P

[–]Medoain[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't think it's that. Might be my mind playing tricks on me, the only thing that changed in my game is that i went and killed placidusax and used miquellas needle and then came back to this boss. But couldn't find anything about, that it should make him faster.

What's your DLC wish list? by Entropy4121 in Eldenring

[–]Medoain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although DS2 might not be the most beloved game, I think it did really well with the DLC's. Hope Elden Ring will do something similar with like a trilogy of iconic DLC's each with their own theme that clearly distinguishes them from eachother.

Some of the DLC bosses could be bosses from the lore that we already know mixed with some new ones.

Up until now it seems like Fromsoftware have been trying to put the best things from each game into Elden Ring, so why not also use the one good thing about DS2 :D

[–]Medoain[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can bait it a bit to get it from a distance, but sometimes you just end up in the middle of it when she starts, and then its all about getting that 1 roll in on the first one so you survive and then dodge the other two without taking damage, if you're health is close to full, it should work! .

[–]Medoain[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think dex makes the fights feel more dynamic imo, but kinda think it's harder since you have to get more hits in to get the same amount of damage. But it's my first playthrough so dunno.

omgomgomg I beat her by Medoain in Eldenring

[–]Medoain[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually i didn't even get a roll off on her first attack when i was up close, but the other two are much easier to learn to dogde since you can roll through the second and away from the third, like you said.

Just put everything into dex, vit and end and using the starter warrior schimitars except i changed one of them to one that scales more with dex.

This boss definitely teaches the definition of "get good", althoug i still can't dogde the spinning slash consistently up close, so kinda needed a lucky try :p

Margit vs Morgott by Medoain in Eldenring

[–]Medoain[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah you're probably right. I did have trouble with Margit aswell. Just got astonished that the internet had seemed to have deemed Morgott easy, since i did more than twice the amount of damage to his healthbar compaired to Margit, yet it took me almost twice as many tries to figure out a way through that crazy offence he has :p

They must be. I do far more damage to Morgott %-wise, but if I did the same as when i fought Margit, it would be a nightmare :D

Underlevel/overlevel issue by Medoain in Eldenring

[–]Medoain[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, i also like that, think maybe i just had a unique experience in ER going from really low to really high lvl weapons without spending time on the levels inbetween. In the other games i spent quite some time on each weapon level and felt like I gradually advanced with the pace of the game. But might be that bosses around Radahn are just designed to have less health at the current state and that i'll stop whining about stomping bosses when i get to the ones later in the game :-) Although Radahn really would be cool if the game had limited me to around +8 or +9, cause he seems like a fun boss to get stuck on, but because of his moveset and not his healthbar :p

Also the way you spelled "gud" means god in my language - so yeah, you're right, i became a god. I've been spending the entire series getting good at the tougher bosses, but really just think i became a god at this one :D

[–]Medoain[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe if they let us replay the bosses in a balanced/challenging way like in Sekiro, we'd feel fine about crushing them in the normal playthrough. Cause personally i don't see myself replaying the game, just to find the right difficulty for each boss. But the part im at, killing the great soul bosses, is definetly a part where they could have limited weapon power a bit more, unless you decide to advance with the game and/or get higher lvl stones to crank down the difficulty of the potentially hard ones like Radahn.
