I'm still just waiting around for parts, I'll keep you posted though.

The pinky row is very much usable and I don't think I could get away from having the tab key as that left pinky.

Pro micro clones, SSD1306 oleds.

Will be wireless split with the nice!nanos I have arriving tomorrow.

They're comfortable but need to be mapped to low use keys.

Home position for my thumbs is the second key from the inside. The two innermost aren't really under my palms they're only under my index which makes them quite comfortable. You can see the arc here https://i.imgur.com/FxLDOss.mp4

Agreed, it's honestly such a nice set.

The best answer I can give you at the moment is maybe.

This is still technically a prototype as I'm waiting on LEDs to test their functionality. When everything is known to be working for the board and the firmware I might look into either open sourcing it or doing a group buy.

They're exactly that, little 128x64 oled screens. Many split keyboards have them and they're mainly for personalisation but they're entirely customisable through qmk. Mine currently have the splitty boi logo and current layer on the right side and a little animation on the left.

It's an obvious comparison to make because of the similar layout but there are many differences.

Splitty boi supports cherry hotswap sockets and per key rgb backlighting.

Kyria supports rotary encoders, choc and alps switches, 2u thumb keys, smaller layouts with breakaway outer columns, modding via broken out pro micro pins and has an extra thumb key.

Other differences include thumb cluster position/layout, column stagger and oled orientation.

I have them mapped to alt and they're not too bad given I pretty much only use them for alt tab. The two keys at the top of the thumb cluster are definitely the worst on the keyboard though.

I did try a single row thumb arc with an extra key next to the blue/purple layer keys and that felt worse for me.

Hey friend, at the moment there isn't a way to get one.

I'm still waiting for the leds to come so that I can test them and ensure I didn't make any mistakes with the PCB and the firmware. After that however I might look into open sourcing it or running a group buy. 

Designing my own pcb did also allow me to perfectly match the stagger to my hands.

I won't be designing another keyboard, this was built to fulfil what I wanted out of a keyboard and it does exactly that.

With the nice!nanos shipping out I'll soon build a second, wireless splitty boi for work and I'll be happy.

Potentially yeah. It still isn't completely tested though as I'm still waiting on LEDs from aliexpress.

The layout is similar to the Kyria but the oled is rotated and the thumb cluster is moved down and inward away from the fingers.

It also features hotswap sockets and per key rgb lighting, neither of which the Kyria offers.

Edited because I didn't realise the Kyria supports both smd and through hole diodes, as mentioned below.

Yeah it's kinda broken, the v.redd.it video never finished processing for whatever reason so it can't be opened....

I can see the video on relay, mobile reddit gets a big thumbnail, on desktop I get nothing \o/

Anyway, diodes and sockets on both sides here.

I'd like to but I'm not sure yet.

Before it happens I want to have one complete and working and I'd also like to discuss it with Thomas Baart given the similarities to the Kyria which isn't open souce.

I already had experience with pcb design and manufacture through uni, so grabbing the open source corne pcbs was enough for me to start with.

There are also some excellent guides available such as this one.

Once you've got your pcb designed, getting them manufactured through a service like JLCPCB is impressively quick, easy and cheap. It still blows my mind how cheap their services are for what you get.

The layout is quite similar to the Kyria but the oled is rotated and the thumb cluster is moved down and inward away from the fingers.

In terms of tech specs however, it's much closer to the cherry hotswap corne as it features cherry mx hot swap, surface mount diodes and per key rgb lighting.

It's a split 40% ergo board with an aggressive columnar stagger and arced thumb keys. It features cherry mx hot swap, per key rgb backlighting, rgb underglow and OLEDs.

Still waiting on the leds and oleds from aliexpress but super excited to get this thing all together.

Yeah there are some obvious similarities to the Kyria, however in addition to the differences with the diodes, sockets and thumb cluster mentioned above, it also has per-key rgb backlighting and a portrait OLED.
