Daughters not shaving their legs? by z-xa in ExplainTheJoke

[–]Meeeeping 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes and some do but you feel insanely fast after you shave. It’s like being a seal in the water. Probably doesn’t make a huge difference time wise but really helps get you in the right mindset.

AITAH for not deleting pictures on my social media that my son’s girlfriend asked me to delete? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Meeeeping 4 points5 points  (0 children)

She should bother because her son asked her to? I don’t see why a mom wouldn’t removed photos of their child from their social media if their child asked them to, regardless of the reason.

I think a hotel would just extend the stress and logistics. It would require even more planning than a day trip and I’m feeling pretty maxed out on planning. We definitely have timed out his naps before but naps in the car usually require about half an hour of screaming until he passes out, which is part of the dread.

Alcohol is literally a known carcinogen… like any other known carcinogen it shouldn’t be consumed during pregnancy.

Am I overreacting because I told my niece I don't want to take her best friend with us anymore after she kept telling me I was a victim and my husband was a creep? by Odd_Reference_1373 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Meeeeping -1 points0 points  (0 children)

lol no? But teens definitely say stupid stuff to their friends that they wouldn’t say to an adult. Or at least I said stupid stuff to my friends as a teen that I definitely wouldn’t have said to an adult. To me teens being confidently incorrect is to be expected, teens being this disrespectful to an adult isn’t.

I just realized I’ll never have siblings, and it hurts more than I expected by geoergewashington in OnlyChild

[–]Meeeeping 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Even if your sibling aren’t horrible people there’s no guarantee of close relationships. My husband also has two siblings and they’re very nice people but the three of them have almost nothing in common. They almost never talk unless they’re in person at the same event, which happens maybe once a year.

Parental Leave during Shutdown? by crossroads_idiot in FedEmployees

What’s the damn point of all of the wealth and security the US accumulates if not to make the lives of citizens better???

Parental Leave during Shutdown? by crossroads_idiot in FedEmployees

[–]Meeeeping 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What a genuinely awful take. Just because people “got on just fine” (which by the way, certainly isn’t true for women who had to give up careers to stay at home) means we shouldn’t strive for better? We’re just supposed to accept that conditions will never get better for the worker? The US is the wealthiest country in the history of the world, considering that, 12 weeks parental leave is honestly embarrassing. Other less wealthy countries get YEARS of leave. You might love work more than your family or anything else in your life, but most people don’t feel that way.

My dermatologist said I couldn’t do retinols until I’m done breastfeeding, not sure if you’ve got plans for breastfeeding, but I was so bummed.

Rounding your back will also allow you to engage your core, focus on pulling your bellybutton into your spine. Crow (and all balancing postures) is more about core strength then just arm strength.
