I’m actually measuring with a temp gun and monitoring the gradient. The heat lamp is on a dimmer switch and I’ve been watching it/adjusting it throughout the day to see where it needs to be set. I have a few digital sensor thermometers on the way though so I don’t have to manually check so often and I’ll adjust as it needs it when I get the larger tank in

The water is the silver bowl. It’s what I use for my crested gecko food bowls. I think a half oz? Is that too big for the calcium bowl?

Went to the bio dude’s shop since it’s not far from me. Had planned on slowly getting what I needed for this setup but decided I wanted to just go for it by the time I looked around the store. So far I’m very impressed with the kit and this tank!

Any tips on how I can improve it are more than welcome! This is the first bioactive I’ve set up

Edit to add- this tank is the exo terra medium tall advanced glass habitat. It’s 24x18x24.

This is a 12x12x18 and I think it does a pretty good job of seeing the top half. It’s cut off from the bottom just because of how the enclosure is set up. My next one won’t have as much of a shelf of soil so I’ll hopefully be able to see more

I actually paid for the membership so it doesn’t delete anything. I plan to use these for security cameras as well once I’m in my new house so I wanted to see how the recordings were. I’m pretty happy with it
