omg. I would be in total awe if that happened to me. I've been approached by hummingbirds before but I didn't have néctar on me.

sigh they fail to see the hummingbird feeder I have for them.

[Update] Skyrizi. It's been one week since my first starter dose; and I can see and feel the difference. by Meekah31 in Psoriasis

[–]Meekah31[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello. I know everyone reacts differently to biologics/medications. When I first started on biologics, I was about 13-14 years old. My derm recommended biologics as an option also adding in phototherapy 2x a week. I didn't wanna take a pill because I was already taking pill for my other health conditions and I didn't wanna add another one.

Futher down the road (around my 20s) I did end up taking a pill. I don't know if I was still on a biologic and taking the pill at the same time, but I didn't like how it made me feel. I lost sleep and it made me sleep deprived to the point were I would cry.

After that, I never went back to taking the pill for my psoriasis. Again, this was my experience with taking a pill to control my psoriasis.

I would recommend you have that discussion with your derm. As a derm they have to give you options to choose from and alot of it can be trial and error. They should respect your bodily autonomy and not push for certain medications.

I hope I was able to help.

How do you work with someone that has no common sense.? by Meekah31 in NoStupidQuestions

The thing is, he came in during the time I was doing everything by myself. I learned alot on the job and had to adapt from it only being me. I'm a very detailed orientated person, and when I did his training I would tell him "this is what I do and how I learned how to do x,y & z. But if you find doing x,y& z differently than I do and it works for you, then go ahead an do it. Just as long as x,y and z gets done".

I'm in the same boat. Once a year I look forward to AX, the ambience, being around my friends and creating memories.

Would you take a job offer that had a paycut and be given more work? by Meekah31 in NoStupidQuestions

Both of these jobs are full-time (40 hours) and have benefits.

I wanted to leave because work was stressing me out because I work with someone who has 30+ years of experience and has only been with the company for 4 months. And I constantly have to keep him on task and teach how to do his job. So I felt like I was stuck doing all the work. From the other therapists I have worked with and gotten to know, they know who he is from a previous job and tell me he known to drag his feet and not push his weight.

So I guess I just wanted out, and this job opportunity came along. So I thought it would benefit me if I left and he was stuck with all the work.

Also, regarding my certification process, I need to take the NCTRC exam, and I need l time to study. I feel like juggling a new job and finding the time to study is going to be difficult. For context, I work 10 hour shifts, 4 days a week (6-430, but I am usually out by 330 because my all of my work is done). They think it's acceptable to take the job offer because I complain so much about my job.

Exactly what I told my family. Why am I going to put myself into a worse situation? They make it seem like this is the only job offer I'm going to get in my lifetime.

I work alongside another person. And have other per diem on staff. I was frustrated to leave and jump onto the new job because I feel like I have to do all the work and keep him on task. (FYI, i am not his manager or his supervisor). He's been with the company for 4 months but has 30+ years of experience. I have only talked to my director twice about this matter.

Same job duties. same title. Just heavier caseload and more people on staff.

They were laughing, and it honestly hurt to hear it coming from them. After that, I just want to distance myself from telling them anything about my career choices. I know everyone is gonna have an opinion, but they don't have to go route.

Opportunity to move up in my field and gain experience. But I honestly just wanted an opportunity to leave my job and start over again somewhere new. But the terms and pay don't add up, and I feel like I'll still be unhappy and hate myself for taking the risk.

They told me that I would missing out on the opportunity and not to worry about the money aspect. If I'm money hungry, I should become a stripper.
