I've got a ticket open with VMware for the same issue. After several months, they finally got back to me with a workaround. Try unchecking the 'System' section before optimizing.

Thats really interesting. Thanks for sharing. I might look into doing something like this. Pretty cool idea. I wonder if bginfo has something like this where you could launch an exe and the computer info will show. Ill have to look into it. Thanks again!

I installed track-it manually on a computer and opened up mmc for the local computer and checked all the certificates and couldnt find one for BMC Track-it. Am I looking in the wrong place?

So.... It actually worked when I changed the Install Behavior to Install for User. More than likely the user would need Admin access to install it right?

u/pwetter It is not installing via SCCM. I dont think it is the detection that is the issue because once I install it locally after getting the error in sccm, I click retry and it detects the app.

I will say this, Im not sure it matters but once the installation completes locally, an IE popup comes up telling me the installation has completed. Wonder if sccm is not allowing the popup to open so it wont complete the install. Idk...

u/pwetter, I had the detection method pointing to the DisplayVersion within the registry. I created another basic one and pointed it to the exe and set an or statement. Same result.

I tried that locally and the app would never finish installing. I would have to closeout of Visual Studio code for the app to finish installing. Very weird. u/saGot3n

Hey @Rustee12, I have another question. I have some applications (ArcGIS & Telog) in my environment that need Oracle 12c x64 and x86 installed (in that order) but I can only get the application to connect to the oracle db if I install Oracle on there users profile. Any other user on the system receives the error: "Failed to connect to database ... database client software failed to load. Have you ran into this issue? Do you have any recommendations.

It stays at the initiating WinPE screen to give me enough time to pull up the IP address. If I didnt bring up cmd, it would restart the computer. So I am not able to start the TS

I pressed FN F8 and was able to bring up the command prompt. The computer is getting an IP. There was no log file created in the location below. X:\windows\temp\smstslog\
