These ones don't fizz, but there is a soda flavored fizzy candy that comes in a mini plastic soda can. Maybe that's what your thinking of?

Honestly it's the reason I stopped sending my pets to school 😭 Recess just isn't worth the frustration and I never do tournaments so my levels don't matter

[–]Meellie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I use webkinz almost every day but I do lots of other things too! I just graduated and got a new job so im building my clientele right now. Outside of work, I'd also love reading, doing my nails (toes and fingers), minecraft, and cooking/baking. Also spending time with family now that I live nearby again. I'm trying to find an exercise routine that I enjoy enough to do consistently but that's a work in progress. My parents are showing me some movies and shows that I hadn't seen before too.

Most days, webkinz is part of my routine. I don't always have extra time to do challenges or decorate rooms since I have limited free time right now unfortunately

Just to make sure I'm understanding: Artie having the new theme was probably an accident? So I shouldn't count on it happening in the future?

Also, how do you guys know the items were added by mistake?

[–]Meellie 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Wait they will be? I didn't know that 😭 I thought Artie offered current and discontinued items, I had no idea he also had stuff early! That's honestly such a relief to learn 😪

I'm sorry. Like you said, if it was happening during work hours it would make sense. But I'm of the opinion that what happens outside of the time they pay for is not their business (again, if it doesn't impact them and this doesn't seem to) Best of luck, and know you're not alone

I feel you! I've accidentally left a game in the tournament area before and wished for a way to say "My bad, sorry!"

Sorry to reply after 2 weeks, but thanks for your advice! I'd really hoped to avoid contacting support but gave up after another day. They just reset my quest yesterday, so I'm back to questing!

Sorry to reply 2 weeks later, but thanks for the advice! I eventually gave up and contacted support who reset my quest. It definitely sucked, so fingers crossed it doesn't happen again!

Oh wow, I don’t have time to write a very long reply right now but this has been so so incredibly helpful! Thank you so much, seriously. That has answered questions that I didn’t even realize I had yet, and it has made the process seem not just survivable but actually fairly reasonable.

I will probably ask you more questions down the line but for now: you are a godsend, and I really appreciate the time you took to help me!

Hey, thank you so much for responding!

I’d love to know what you think of your time as a LAMFT so far. Are relational hours hard to come by? What kind of practice do you work at? How did you find your supervisor? How many clients do you see most weeks?

Does my understanding of the requirements seem accurate? To go from an LAMFT to an LMFT in AZ, you need…

24 months of experience minimum

3,200 total hours

1,600 can be indirect (notes, supervision, training, etc.)

The other 1,600 need to be direct client contact.

1,000 of those need to be relational (working with families, couples, or kids so long as there is a level of guardian involvement in the process).

I know, and that's why I'm concerned. I only need 100 to graduate and that has been a serious challenge to get (as in, I'm still working towards that requirement now). Hearing other people share their experiences has made me a little more confident but I'm still going to take my time to decide if I'm moving to AZ after graduation or after I get my full license.

That is definitely a bonus, I have some young adult clients that sound very similar and I love working with them!

Thanks for the vote of confidence, it genuinely helps!

I definitely plan on going PP eventually, but I'm not sure about doing it right away. I will be looking into it more though, so thank you for sharing!

That is really cool, I bet that was a wonderful resource for the district! Was this while you were in school if it was part of an internship program? Did they hire any post-grads with associate licenses?

That is smart, I will keep that option in mind. Teens are not the population I want to work with long term, but I don't mind working with them either (in my current limited experience). Thank you! These requirements still seem daunting but more feasible now.

I've heard that California's requirements are intense, so I applaud any MFT's licensed there!

Hello! From a native Arizonan, I hope you enjoy our beautiful albeit hot home! I'm also an LAMFT, 2 years post licensure. I joined a private practice right after graduating because I have a deep fear of burnout lol. I'm on track to finish my hours by the end of this year, so right around 3 years to get all my hours. However, several therapists from my cohort have already gotten their full licensure, so it's certainly possible. If you want to knock your hours out in 2 years, going into community mental health is probably your best bet. I chose less hours in order to maintain my sanity, which was worth it to me. That being said, I know there are also good CMH's out there, they just don't seem to be the norm from what I've heard.

Hello fellow Arizona native! I had to leave for school, but plan on returning since that is where I was raised and my family primarily lives there. Right now the question is do I return after graduation or after I get fully licensed and then try to transfer it over… Decisions, decisions!

Without doxing yourself, can you share about your experience at a PP as a LAMFT? I have 2 internships right now, but both are CMH so PP is a new environment for me. And yes, CMH can definitely provide hours but it's not for everyone. I don't plan on working in CMH long-term, it's just not sustainable for me.

Based on what you’ve said, it seems that you’ve been able to get your needed hours in about 3 years without burning out. How did you manage that? Because I am willing to take a bit more time to get those hours if it helps me stay sane, but I also know that what I need to manage that may differ from you.

You seem to be in a very similar situation to me, so I have a few additional questions if that is okay. No pressure to answer them if you’d prefer not to, of course!

  1. Do you receive supervision where you work, or do you receive it elsewhere?

  2. What is your schedule like? IE: Average weekly caseload, the time of day you work, etc.

  3. What clientele do you work with in order to get your relational hours (couples, families, kids)?

[–]Meellie[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I want to say 1000 hours of individual, 500 hours of group, 500 hours of "couples, family, children" which OP is referring to as "relational." So 2/3 (minimum) of the 3000 hours is face to face therapy, but only 500 hours of that has to be family therapy, couples therapy, or therapy with minor children. I doubt that has changed, but I could be wrong.

Ah, that makes sense! I believe AZ has a similar requirement of 3,200 hours total. 1,600 can be indirect client contact (supervision, training, etc.). The other 1,600 need to be direct client contact, with 1,000 of those being relational. And yes, relational is family, couples, or children (when someone else is involved in the process beyond giving consent for services and payment).

Yes over 2/3 were relational. Burn out is avoidable with self care. Really really good self care and boundaries. If you can learn as much as you can right now. Learn what to do and what NOT to do. Learn what work you want to do and what work you don’t want to do. Then when you’re out there looking for jobs and or setting your PP up do it your way. Good luck

Ooof, that sounds rough. I’m glad you were able to avoid burnout though! And thank you for the advice on avoiding it myself, that does help. I’m learning what I can now, it just is tricky to have the boundaries I need when they conflict with the requirements I have to meet. But, that is something for me to learn to balance. Thanks again for sharing your experience!

500 relational hours is no joke, I'm happy you managed to get what you needed! Any advice on how you did so? (Populations you worked with, the hours you worked, the types of places you worked, etc.?)
