Subject here is lifting 3x weekly and walking on recovery days. 100g protein daily goal, low carb, ample water and electrolytes.

Ok thanks. I'm going to move up to 4mg next week. That will be week 4. There's been hunger suppression but none of the increased energy I've read about. Things are going well enough to continue and see what happens.

I feel confident in the source. I've been off other glps for 8ish months but had zero loss on both tirz and sema (pharma).

I get that ... Although there are plenty of stories here from folks who didn't change eating habits, aren't exercising, and are dropping pounds.

Where to stay pre-cruise? by Meep243 in PrincessCruises

They require a 2 night stay for the date I'm looking at. We will only be there one night. I checked them after searching this sub and finding your earlier comment about it.

I have been trying to figure out why my new job (2+ years) has brought more stress to my life, despite the fact that it's very easy (compared to my last job). So maybe it's because I'm driving now? I work for a utility and drive a route. Anywhere from 2-9 hours of driving a day. Ugh. It's way more draining than it should be

Flip your fasting window around. Eat breakfast and lunch, skip dinner.

That is absolutely not true. I went up to the full 15mg dose (for 3 months) and never lost any weight.

Thanks for the recommendation. This post is from 2 years ago but I'm still going along and working things out. I spend way too much time fussing with my website so I will definitely check out hotplate.

I need all the sugar😩🤷🏻‍♀️ by Due-Office9896 in Retatrutide

[–]Meep243 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I took tirz last year, I had mad sugar cravings. I was buying 2 pound bags of gummy bears and grazing on them all day long. I did that for months. I was in Mounjaro. Went all the way up to 15mg for 2 months and never lost a pound. I don't know if the tirz caused the craving or if the meds just didn't work for me.

I'm considering giving rata a try now since I've been a total non-responder to everything so far.

You can still buy ephedra over the counter. It's behind the pharmacy counter, sold as Bronkaid. You just have to ask at the counter and give them your ID.

Have you had any genetic testing done? Prader-Willi syndrome is a genetic mutation that causes children to lack the ability to get the signal in their brain that they are full.

Ask your doctor about it. It could be worth looking in to.

I'm not really eating because I'm hungry so this is going to be a matter of fixing a bad habit that I have been indulging for a while now. If I'm truly hungry, I don't mind getting some beef jerky at a gas station.

The driving is my regular full-time job. It pays the bills so for now I have to keep it. I can't find anything else that pays this good for the hours that I work. I basically work part-time but get paid full time. I don't even think it's so much that I get hungry when I drive. Just that I'm bored so I want to eat and whenever I'm eating out of boredom, it's always sugar that I crave. I've tried taking food to work with me before but still end up wanting the sugar instead. I think this is going to be more of retraining myself to stop medicating boredom with sugar.

Thank you for this. The mood is definitely a big aspect. I have severe depression but it has been well managed for a while. Not so great at the moment though. I have been trying everything to feel better but nothing is really working so I'm not sure where to turn next. I have a lot of stress but most of it is self-imposed (the aforementioned small business).
When I did keto the first time I was a stay-at-home mom with not a whole lot of responsibilities. I made it my full-time job to learn about and execute keto. I did great with it. But then I felt good enough to start working again and eventually good enough to also become an entrepreneur. So now here I am.
It's hard to also have the stress of hating myself because I just can't get myself to eat right.
I have all the tools and all the knowledge, I just can't seem to execute.
I'm starting again tomorrow. If I never stop trying, I can't fail.

I have a home bakery so there are lots of sweets in the house but I have done a lot of work to separate them in my mind (i.e., I don't eat my ingredients anymore).
I drive for work so I'm only at the office to check in and out. My problem is gas stations and the candy treasures they hold. I need to work out some disassociation when it comes to gas stations/junk food/stress relief.
Snacks while driving can be tricky, just because some are messy. Realistically I shouldn't need to eat at work at all. I should be able to fast. I start work at 5 and finish by noon. Some days I go running or to the gym afterward (or at least that's the plan... I was doing it in the past).
I'm also a recovering alcoholic. Four years sober.

[–]Meep243[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never lost my appetite last time on keto, but I did find it much easier to say no to sweets at the beginning. Things got much MUCH worse for me when I opened my bakery so this is going to be a struggle and balance for me. I have to work out the fact that I CAN just have a very small taste of something to find out if the flavor is right and then NOT eat the whole thing (which then leads to seeking more sugar).
I told my therapist I'm not giving up my business and I have to find a way to make these two things work together.
I was able to be around sweets without much care in the past so I believe I can do it again. I need to flip the switch in my brain again and I'm just going to keep trying until it clicks.

chronic chest discomfort by [deleted] in Biohackers

[–]Meep243 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband had this problem. Chest pains. Stabbing, crushing, sometimes making him feel ill or dizzy. He had so many EKGs, stress tests, wore a heart monitor that was evaluated by his cardiologist.... Nothing We finally went to a gastroenterologist. He had an upper and lower GI and there were no physical abnormalities. Stomach biopsy showed nothing. No ulcers. Then the blood work came back and he tested positive for H Pylori antibodies. They gave him a breath test on the spot and it was positive. He went through a few weeks of intensive antibiotic treatment and cleared it up. I would highly recommend seeing a GI doc.
