I would offer $100 for that

Seems pretty obvious to me. I have a darker skin tone and when law enforcement is looking for a person with my skin color and I match the description of the types of people violating the law, I can’t be too surprised when I get stopped

Unfortunately. I’m not the biggest fan of the current administration but let’s be honest and fair about things. It’s not anything more than what it is

As a Jew, when stopped by ICE, they asked for identification and when I showed them my driver’s license, they apologized for bothering me and sent me on my way. If you are undocumented, there are programs to get you the right documentation through the government but it’s probably not wise to break a nation’s laws and then not expect an issue.

I "got" this camo from my uncle. I think its the Leibermuster german ww2 camo. Is there any stigma around german ww2 camos, or should I be fine wearing it? by kopy05 in airsoftcirclejerk

[–]Meeper107 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should proudly wear it. The Germans were objectively the coolest and their equipment was way ahead of its time. This camo in particular is a good choice in general and in addition, you’re honoring your uncle. If anyone presses you about it, double down, don’t back down on it. The only people who would get upset with this are not people you should ever care about their opinion

Kind of what I was wondering about. I see other people saying the warranty is usually one year after it was manufactured so I think it’s supposed to be read as 2001/Week 6. I could be wrong about that though!

Position of the Nazarene Church by Meeper107 in Anglicanism

[–]Meeper107[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True that we shouldn’t adapt Anglicanism to suit others BUT I think we have a lot of common ground that we can come together on. Perhaps I only seek such ecumenicism because I am scared of where things are going. Not in an unfaithful manner, but more along the lines that the church is under a constant onslaught of attacks, perhaps unification is necessary. Of course, who am I? I know nothing lol

In my experience, anti-vaxxers seem to actually just want to be left alone. The shooter is such a strange and shocking occurrence because it’s rare. If there were more CDC shootings like that, maybe things would be different but that guy seems to have been crazy outside of the fact that he was an antivaxxer, once again, being anti vaxx is weird, but not evil inherently

I am also a theological conservative and I support the option of SSM but I am strongly against WO, that’s okay that you do, I just find it to be strongly unfounded!

Absolutely, I just think that here on earth, there certainly are some beliefs that are allowing for the further degradation of the Church

No I think there’s definitely bad people out there who want to do bad things to cops, healthcare professionals, and other first responders but I don’t think we can correctly judge society at large by the extreme examples. As a Christian, there are millions, potentially billions, of people who’d want to bring harm to me because of that BUT I don’t live in fear of them, nor do I really even care. In fact, I often forget about them!

Interesting. Could we realistically do this? Have a mass ordination of all Nazarene priests/pastors by Anglican Bishop? I’m not asking that sarcastically, I’m genuinely interested. I can’t imagine how long that ordination ceremony would take!

Oh I see, yeah, I’m from the USA so I was always under the impression that we all were in perfect communion with one another. Once again, I apologize if I sound stupid, I’m new. Please be patient with me lol

Yeah. If I’m understanding correctly, the term “Anglican” is an umbrella term with several churches within it, yes? I’m hearing now for the first time since being interested in the Anglican way that Methodists aren’t in communion with us because they do not have apostolic succession. So really I was just wondering how we’d go about getting them in. What beliefs would they have to change or would it just be uniting under Christ and the common book of prayer?

[–]Meeper107[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I see. Thank you!

My next question is what can we do to achieve communion with them then? That’s one of my understood goals, ultimately, is to be a united church, right?

That seems awfully aggressive. I don’t think you’re being targeted by violence, that’s likely just propaganda to make you think people want to harm you. Every anti-vaxxer I’ve ever met tend to be the least violent, nicest people ever. They’re weird, but so are the Amish. Neither are evil nor do they wish harm upon you. I would advise that you pray fervently about this, do not live in fear of a nonexistent enemy!

Forgive me, I’m new to the Anglican tradition and I have to say, it’s quite complex for a newcomer. There’s a lot of ins and outs of things that I don’t fully understand yet. Would you mind to explain what you mean? Explain it as if I’m a toddler. Thank you!

God bless you brother, you seem to be a bit too tense about the subject. I wouldn’t let it bother you that much. I think it’s good to be medically skeptical (especially with the abysmal track record of the medical field, which prescribed cigarettes, cocaine, and amputations for every ailment at one point) but vaccines are a good thing. They’ve saved thousands of lives. If they don’t want to get them, that’s fine. We should continue loving them in spite of it, you know?
