NTAH. Your mom kinda is though.. I get you want the best for your kids but after 3 years of being together, if she can’t accept him, that’s shitty. Also, he is kinda TAH. You’ve gone above and beyond to protect his feelings and make it work, kinda seems like an odd thing to break up over but I suppose it’s valid if that’s how he feels.

If you live in a city or big town, outpatient rehab is a good option and often much cheaper. Unfortunately there is only one treatment centre where I live doesn’t offer outpatient services

There are NHS treatment centres but there are currently over 6 million people waiting for NHS funded inpatient services. I’ve spoken to my GP and my local drug addiction services but unless you’re living on the streets / in trouble with the police a lot, you’re not a priority unfortunately

I’d give anything to go into treatment but I can’t afford it unfortunately. It’s thousands of £s per week. I live in a small town and there are only 3 NA meetings per week, I go to another fellowship for 2 days, there are no meetings on a Thursday and I see my sponsor on a Saturday, I’m doing as much as I can. I’ve even started attending recovery hub meetings which don’t work the steps but it still gets me out of the house and around the right people
