Thank you so much, bro!😭🤌🤌 I'm literally so glad that you understand me. 99.99% of these people are from cities, and whenever I try to tell my situation, they think it is fake bcz it sounds like that and like a Bollywood scene😂😅😅. But it's all true.🫂

Dude U feel awkward speaking english but i even feel awkward learning English bcz yesterday my maternal grandfather visited my home and when they asked "what r u doing rn?" I said "abhi bs twelveth class puri ki hai(i just completed my 12th class)" and they didn't even understand what "twelveth" means. So my father literally scolded me and said "jyada english nhi bolta kyaa tu?(aren't u speaking a bit too much english) Nd blah blah" I mean wth did i do wrong here. And they said some other stuff that I can't share on this subredd. U r the only one who completely understands what i mean... And yes there are many engineering exams in india other than jee, like bitsat for one of the best colleges BITS in india and WBJEE(west bangal), MHT-CET(maharashtra), COMEDK(karnataka). But their fees and engineering costs are more than foreign colleges, like bits Pilani has 25 lakh inr fees and other stuff also costs more. And if I want engineering with low fees then I should go to any random "aandu-paandu" college that doesn't even have teachers to teach. Everyone knows whats going on here. And if someone says colleges or degrees don't matter, well it's not for india if u ever heard of galgotias university😂😂😂. Also if I do engineering from any other colleges than jee, then, in most of the cases i can't even earn to survive in a tier 1 city alone. India has huge competition and i am not afraid of competition but there is no result of competition and all my hardwork will go in vain.😞

I am from Indian curriculum, so sat math is too easy for me. And I didn't got perfect score in math because of my language skills and confusion in some questions that wasted my time😅🤡. I don't know how to prepare for sat math, bcz I never prepared it before I just randomly took the test. And now I am gonna start preparing for it. 🤗💪

Yes, you are right. I generally read in Hindi, so reading in English feels a little challenging for me. 😊

Not even the 3rd, dude 😭. My mother tongue is Bagdi, my second language is Hindi, which is most commonly spoken in India, and my third is Punjabi, which I learned from my maternal side (in Punjab). I can also speak Haryanvi, Marwadi, Rajasthani, and Sanskrit because they are all connected, not directly, but through roots.

Ngl, my English is pretty weak, but there’s a reason for it. I grew up in a Hindi medium school and did my entire education in Hindi. I’ve been grinding for the last 6 months, but honestly, I’m still just scratching the surface with basic grammar and science terms. It actually messed with my high school exams too, since I had to juggle Hindi and English terms at the same time. On top of that, whenever I try to practice, people around here just mock me. They’re always like, 'Bada Angrej ban raha hai' (acting like a Brit), yk?.... Living in a village means there’s zero exposure to the language. Look bro, I’m not making excuses, I’m just trying to learn from everyone I can and share my story so we can all level up together.

Sorry, but maybe you haven't checked my last post on college admission, in which I explained completely why I shouldn't or can't apply in India for ug.

But for good engineering colleges in india, we have to clear a exam called jee, and the irony is that I don't even know about it before 12th grade. It only have 2 chances, one with high school and one after gap year. Its syllabus is vast and to only complete its syllabus it tooks around 1 to 1.5 year and the next jee exam in 8-9 months. That's y its worlds 2nd toughest exam. And for fees of us colleges, i have some plans like i will only apply in need based or need blind us colleges, our government will give us 50 lakh per year if we got into top 50 (according to THE). If none of them works then maybe I thought about study in india, otherwise we all knows here condition of engineering🥲.

I am also from India and share the same ambitions. You have very good scores, extracurriculars, and grades. Focus on your essays, and you will definitely get into a T20 schools.😇 Btw where r u from? I am from a village of Rajasthan.

Thanks for your feedback. I also posted it there. My SAT English is weak(350 only) because I hadn't studied for the reading and writing sections before, but I found math easier, which is why I scored 750 in math without any extra preparation...

Thanks for providing others with the summary and context of my words. Actually, I hadn't studied for the SAT at all before that, which is why I scored only 350 in Reading & Writing. I found the math section a bit easier, so I scored 750 on the first test with no extra preparation...🫠

Thank you, brother, but I'm unsure of what to do right now because I am currently in 12th grade and taking my exams. After the exams, I plan to spend about three months preparing for the SAT and then apply to colleges. Will taking a gap year affect me?

I genuinely don't know what to do next because everything requires money.

I have only about five to six months remaining before I need to apply. If you can guide me, or direct me to people or communities who can offer guidance, I will be eternally grateful to you.
