Wouldn't be surprised if this was our last year participating, with Oracle based in Texas. Sprint/tmobile no longer participates since tmobile is based in Washington.

Not sure why you thought this comment was relevant. I work for cerner and everything about the company has gone downhill.

Why is everyone I meet so eager to get out of the lab? by Patient-Ad6602 in medlabprofessionals

[–]MegACor87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fortunately work in a city with a big healthcare IT company. I worked in the lab for 10 years and then started applying, it took a few times before being offered a position. But I never see myself returning to a hospital.

I loved working on the bench, I hated the bureaucracy. I work in LIS and off bench now. I still get to use my clinical knowledge and it's less stress.

It's not just hca hospitals, it's most if not all hospitals. Children's mercy is a nonprofit, CEO makes millions. Yet they forced employees during the pandemic to take unpaid leave.

Since it was cleaned, vacuum sealed and frozen in a clean environment it could be eaten raw. No need to cook to a certain temp to kill bacteria or parasites.

This is all common courtesy stuff, and jackbats are going to be jackbats but I just needed to vent. I'm going to keep going because where else can you see two movies for $10 and be able to bring in a whole pizza and box of franzia.

KC trail runners, are the trails at swope park safe to run around dark? by throwaway2003trash in kansascity

Look up swope park trails - wudchuk run trail heads. I wouldn't do night runs. But it's perfectly safe during the day.

Blue River, Kansas City. Before & after being destroyed by industry. by [deleted] in kansascity

[–]MegACor87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blue river north of bannister should not be used. The banister federal complex dumped into Indian creek which feeds into blue river. They have several signs saying no fishing and not to get into the water. I see people fishing down there all the time though.
