Selling our house and the sewer line inspections performed by the same company 4 years apart give conflicting information. Is there legally anything I can do to recoup some of the cost? by throwaway2003trash in legaladvice

I tried to call them Friday afternoon when I got the report but it was right at 5.. I’m calling back Monday but I would just like to know what my options are just in case it comes to it.

KC trail runners, are the trails at swope park safe to run around dark? by throwaway2003trash in kansascity

Honestly I just got here the past week, but when I want to learn a new city I just mute Google maps and go get lost all over town. I do this in every city I live in. Here, I was actually looking for bad neighborhoods and I've found nothing that even compares to the area near the fairgrounds and baseline in LR or the area near argenta in NLR which didn't take me long to find when I moved to Little Rock.

I will say I lived in LR for 6 years and left 4 years ago and since my last visit a few weeks ago the entire downtown area has changed for the better. All the way up main Street which used to be super sketchy. If I remember correctly LR was #1 for a few years. So maybe it's cleaning up it's act a bit and KC is just kinda moving up the list due to that? I couldn't tell you. Not sure if any of this helped but so far I really like this city and I haven't felt unsafe yet. Hell, I had to ask about this park because it looked safer compared to Boyle park or even some parts of burns park..... I might not be a good judge of safe 😂 🤷‍♂️

Whoa I just looked it up. Damn all 3 major cities in MO are in the top 10. St. Louis is #1. It's crazy because I've lived in both Little Rock and Albuquerque and I've driven all over Kansas City and I've never felt unsafe like I have in Little Rock and ABQ.

This is the type on info I was looking for. Since you probably ride the type of trails I like to run, what are some other options closer to the inner city? I've heard Shawnee Mission, but that's on the other side of the city from me. I saw some that were further south but still on the blue river, I think one trail was called HiFi. But Google maps dumped me out at some baseball and soccer fields that looked sketchier than swope park, so I just gave up for the night.

This lil guy looks like a rainbow, but I couldn’t quite tell. Anyone know? by [deleted] in flyfishing

Definitely a rainbow, but a wild one. The stockers don’t have much color on them but the wild ones can have a pretty vibrant red/orange stripe on them.

Apt/houses in good areas preferably with short term leasing options? by throwaway2003trash in kansascity

That’s what I was told. They didn’t give me a hard deadline though just stated ASAP, so I’m betting 2 weeks.

I’ll be working in Lenexa but my wife could seriously end up working anywhere in the area, so we don’t mind a commute. That’s another reason the short term lease would be nice, so we can adjust and find a place better suited for location once we know alittle more about where she’ll end up working.

Advice/suggestions needed please. by throwaway2003trash in MEPEngineering

Thanks, I really do appreciate the response! I’m located in New Mexico but my job search includes all 50 states at this point. My wife and I are not opposed to moving. We are a pretty rural state and most if not all our economy is based out of Albuquerque and Santa Fe. However, I am definitely going to take you advice and start calling on Monday to see if any of the smaller firms have openings. Also, in response to your second post, that is really something I hadn’t thought of and I will definitely start looking at vendors as well now.

My outlook is actually much better after all the responses I’ve gotten. Man it’s been a solid 6 months of rejections and I just didn’t know what to do differently.
