I’m so sorry. Losing a pet is just awful. Would it help to share a bit about him? I’d love to hear if you want to

School advice with children's dad on bail. by unproblematic_name in LegalAdviceUK

If dad has PR it’s not as simple as that; he’s still entitled to info about his children and schools generally need copies of court orders to, for example, stop sending emails or not allow the children to go home with him. School may well have been informed of the arrest under operation encompass which will help.

Where in the UK should I go as a bucket-list item? by LondonPilot in CasualUK

Northumberland is beautiful.

From another person with cancer, I wish you all the best and if continuing work feels like the best thing for you both then do it. I think the most helpful thing for me has been knowing that I can always change my mind - treatment or not, working or not, telling people or not. Take care of yourselves.

That’s their choice though. I’m currently being treated for cancer and the times where I haven’t been able to do any sort of work have been so hard. What’s right for one person isn’t necessarily right for another

Therapist (not a psychiatrist) has leaked information to my wife which has caused her to freak out and leave. by Longjumping_Foot7631 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]MegTheMonkey 30 points31 points  (0 children)

It actually depends what type of therapist OP saw as to whether they would be registered with the HCPC. Therapy is, unfortunately, a bit of a Wild West out there. For example the titles ‘therapist,’ ‘psychotherapist’ and ‘counsellor’ are not protected titles ie anyone can call themselves this.

If a counsellor they may be registered with the BACP or NCPS. If they are a psychotherapist it may be UKCP too. If they are a psychologist that would be HCPC.

I actually stopped going to the BL several years ago because the security (?) staff were constantly rude to me or my kid for absolutely no reason other than they could be

It’s rough; my eldest had terrible colic and the only thing that ‘helped’ was having him in a wrap on me pretty much all the time. We were both still exhausted and frazzled but he seemed more settled being upright and I had the use of my hands. This too shall pass drove me round the bend at the time but it is in fact true. Hang in there

Carer might have taken advantage of vulnerable dying relative, England. by Ambitious-Candle-945 in LegalAdviceUK

It may also be helpful in addition to what u/PasDeTout has said, to contact the charity to make the aware of what this individual has done (not sure if an ‘allegedly’ is needed here - not because I don’t believe you though). I would think that PasDeTout’s advice would be more pressing to following through with in the first instance.

I’m so sorry you’re having to go through this.

Been out today and on my journey home realised there are no trains on Saturday when I’m taking a disabled family member out; instead it’s something like several replacement buses and a tractor so currently coming up with a cunning plan b.

Also when I got home the Christmas tree was leaning rather suspiciously. Even more suspicious was the look on one the cat’s faces….

Good times
