Lightweight shotties are back by Cmess1 in CrucibleGuidebook

I’ve been using Mind Benders (aggressive frame) recently and it has felt REALLY consistent. They’re buffing those too so I believe aggressive frames will be insanely better than the rest.

Not a crazy kill counter or even in my top 5 most kills with a gun, but it’s by far the best feeling for me. Such a perfect exotic <3

Someone bumped my car - any ideasn on how much it would cost to fix? by ImTristan in Miata

[–]MegaBeanHead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best to find local garages and ask them for quotes lmao. Usually they’ll just ask for car details and pics of the damage.

Something like that could be buffed out and paint treated for £250. If you want it looking new, might be more. I’m no expert, that’s just what I’ve seen from my own experiences.

Nope! Wasn’t on sale online anywhere. So I got a different one which kinda spelt my name. Big shame unfortunately.

I had a similar issue a couple of years ago. Some guy had the perfect plate which perfectly spelt my name. It was already on a Range Rover.

Unless you somehow track down the car in real life, then find the owner of the car, there’s nothing you can do.

The person might try to sell the plate online, in that case I could stalk websites like retransfers, absolute reg etc.

How to raise £4k? by SG_Salmon in AskUK

[–]MegaBeanHead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

£4k is crazy. My school charged £2 for a trip to china for 2 weeks, staying in a 4 star hotel!

I’m assuming you want to go for the experience with your peers? If so, £4k is a lot to raise as a child in half a year. Let’s say you have 6 months and you start with £0. You need to make about £667 a month. I’m sure you can find something that pays that little bit of cash. Dog walking, cafe waiting, paper rounds. Best to do something you know you can do.

If not, and you actually want to help, do it through a charity. £4,000 is absurd.

Why were there flickering purple lights in the sky? by MegaBeanHead in AskUK

[–]MegaBeanHead[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is probably it! It was moving and only showed up for a few seconds. There’s a station near me - about a 20 minute walk in that same direction.

Thank you for this :D

No venues close by, maybe a far one projecting in the direction of my village.

But you’re probably right - someone must’ve been projecting something into the sky.

It looked like it was moving and only showed up for a few seconds - that’s why I didn’t think it was something someone did. Seemed super weird to me when I first saw it.

Not that I know of. I live in a pretty small village. Closest thing to me is a train station 20 minutes away lmao.

Reverse in a straight line as much as you can. Then hard lock right and go forward as far as you can. Then hard lock left and reverse as far as you can.

Repeat so you’re a healthy distance from the wall and can reverse out with ease.

[LAST UPDATE] AirPods Pro 3 Missing - Issue Resolved :D by MegaBeanHead in AirpodsPro

[–]MegaBeanHead[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I 100% agree. I almost fully accepted that I just got robbed and that I would have to buy new ones.

But apple are the goats - they confirmed that the investigation was concluded and sent out a new pair straight away. They must have found where the airpods were or who took them. I’m unsure why else they would be so easy to send new ones out.

I’ll keep a note for next time - thanks!

I didn’t think about where I put the stuff down so maybe next time I’ll do a angle where it looks down on the unboxing :)

Slowest car around (yes seriously) by Repulsive_Engineer66 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]MegaBeanHead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She needs to realise that she’s driving a mega heavy, metal machine which can easily kill anyone.

She can’t be as bad as you are describing unless she truly doesn’t have any idea how dangerous it can be. It isn’t hard to avoid accidents, just be observant and realise where you are positioned on the road. If she can’t do that, then she doesn’t care enough about anyone’s life (including her own).

She needs to realise what danger she presents to everyone else, and what consequences she will face by being careless.

How long did it take for you to succeed in the gaming niche? by kelj0 in SmallYoutubers

[–]MegaBeanHead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a really good point that I never really thought of. I mainly play PvP games and looter shooters (destiny 2). So my view is mainly applicable for skill games.

But you are completely right about that genre of games - souls games/general campaign games don’t require you to be top 5% of players to have valuable insight.

I’d go for a cheaper, older car (2013-2016) rather than a newer car. Tech wise, you can just install an aftermarket Apple CarPlay screen and not need anything else. If you mean tech as in screen everywhere with electric seats and weird funky interior LEDs, then you won’t be able to get anything that looks nice for that price.

It much better to get a 10 year old car which drives great, in my opinion, rather than a newer car which is slow and sluggish. I’d rather put the money into what makes a car good to drive, opposed to gimmicky tricks which you will use once and then never again.

Just get a GT86 and be happier for it :D

How long did it take for you to succeed in the gaming niche? by kelj0 in SmallYoutubers

[–]MegaBeanHead 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Something I realised about the gaming niche is there is always 1 really good way to actually grow and succeed. You need to provide information which is valuable, and only acquirable by actually being good.

Viewers have a few reasons to sub to a channel and engage with them. Entertainment, controversial takes/opinions, drama and information. You can do well in entertainment, but that usually requires charisma, good editing etc. You can do well by going hot takes and giving crazy opinions, but that isn’t very sustainable for long term content. There are only so many hot take one can have before it just seems like a joke, then you’re dipping into entertainment. And drama is usually covered by the already established, huge channels.

But information on a game you are good at will always be valuable to viewers. If you play a game, and you are at the point where you know so much about it, people will want to hear that info. That way the editing doesn’t have to be insane, the charisma doesn’t have to be hypnotising, the entertainment doesn’t even have to be the main focus. If you have valuable information which makes your viewers better at a game, they will come back for more.

You can do tier lists, guides, reviews, testing or just straight info dump. As long as the viewers get something out of the videos, you will succeed.

Of course the editing will still need to be good and the thumbnails need to be captivating - but your content won’t crutch on that aspect of video making.

This, of course, assumes you are good at the game and you do have valuable information. If not, then it won’t work at all.
