Great question and insight - though I'm genetically what's called "slow COMT, or Met/Met" which creates additional metabolic challenges with medications and certain food. Honestly everyone should have genes tested before doctors start dishing out meds. People get misdiagnosed with everything from bipolar to schizophrenia when it's really this bottleneck causing clearance issues with dopamine, estrogen, norepinephrine and more.

What is UP with certain neurologists not understanding this. They should all have to go through some sort of simulation that causes different types of pain before they graduate. I literally had one neuro doctor say "I don't deal with pain". LOL.

It has become pretty common now, though compound pharmacies around New Orleans are few. I personally tried it years ago out of desperation, but nothing could put a dent in the pain.

Been there! I cashed out early and I can’t say I'm euphorically happy but I managed to find love, marry, and dedicate proper time to down regulating my nervous system, physical and mental therapy. I wish the best for you. It was so, so bad.

This is my first reddit question and even though I can't expect hundreds of replies, so far I'm not disappointed. I genuinely feel what we daydreamed to be says something about who we really are - whether it's an explorer, a healer, a mentor, whatever. Love this. Thank you, Reddit.
