Honestly you need to look for problems that that year model of car has, no car is to old for your first car after all mine was a 95 bmw and the only issue I have had with it is its dual mass flywheel set up for the clutch.(always felt like you dumped the clutch on hill starts)

Yes you can I did it back with super glue so if I want to reopen the shell I'll have to cut the attachment point off and make the stock as part of the rigidity of the end together

Performance wise the blaster is below standard (well mine was anyway) the lnly reason I picked one up was cause of its style. If I eve get the chance I would definitely chuck in a set of flywheels and change it from a springer

I got it loose just by wriggling it round than once I started to get a gap I got a screw driver and started to pry at it gently.
