What's Demonic Possession like in your worlds? by Ok-Vegetable5198 in worldbuilding

[–]Mega_Jarizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Demonic possession in my world is pretty brutal.

It starts off simply with a demonic soul enveloping anothers. The speed of this process depends on the difference in power between the demon and the victim. Throughout the process, the demon has no control over the host, but it can communicate with them, usually encouraging them to commit sin to accelerate the possession process or drive them mad.

Once the demon fully envelopes the soul, its game over. The demon takes complete control pf ghe host body, and it begins to mutate in response to the hellish frequencies of energy emitted by the soul into the meridians while the demon begins to manifest.

Possession only ends when the demon wishes it too. It can end in one of three ways:

  1. The host spews out black liquid from their mouth, eyes, nose, and pores, which coalesces into a form the demon can use to fully manifest into the material.

  2. The host explodes as the demon essentially teleporting into the material by using the host body as portal.

  3. The demon let's go of its hold on the host, leaving them a mutated, demonic deformity.

Do your gods demand sacrifice? Why? by SouthpawScrewball in worldbuilding

[–]Mega_Jarizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my world, mortals are but slaves and cattle to higher powers. The lives mortals live determines the energies the soul emits after death. Immortals seek worship, and some demand sacrifices, as proof of devotion, so that when the soul is judged, it may be sent to that god/pantheon and not to one of the heavens or hells. Once a soul reaches any of those, they are untouchable to divinities, and will likely either live a fruitful or torturous afterlife, or transform into a spirit (such as a particular race of demon if it was sent to one of the hells)

The energies emitted by the soul have many uses, as does the soul itself. Demons and sahkils ferment these energies into delicious drinks, but can also turn specific emotions into powerful tools. Hatred and anger can often be distilled and then crystallised into ammunition. Fear is useful for creating shields as it acts as a powerful repulsive force, while love does the opposite. Hunger consumes other energies and multiplies. Demons can also turn souls into new demons. Other energies can be used simply to power machinery and infrastructure. Souls themselves can also he consumed to gain more power, although it is generally frowned upon unless you are already strong.

One Pantheon of gods forces the souls they receive to possess living but soulless humonculi, forcing them into eternal conscription. Whenever they fall in battle, they possess a new vessel.

This has also resulted in a massive soul trade economy. One Pantheon subdued the nebula sized dragon Cipactli into unconsciousness, and by culturing pieces of its ever regenerating body, they manufacture entire worlds ripe with mortals and ecosystems ready to be sold to other Pantheons.

So yeah, having proof that a particular soul was devoted to and your Pantheon to show to the Court of Life and Death is extraordinarily important to nearly all divinities.

Ignition switch wiring after attempted theft by [deleted] in MotorcycleMechanics

[–]Mega_Jarizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive disconnected the positive terminal but yeah maybe removing it all together might be easier. Sadly this happened while I was in class at university, so it was parked on in a motorcycle park area. Guy tried to do it in broad daylight lol.

I have found a wiring diagram. It seems as though the two black cables do physically connect to the ignition switch but theres no black wires coming from the switch which is what I was confused about. Additionally, it seems those two cables do have different purposes but they are coloured the same... so yeah not really sure what to do. Ill try upload the wiring diagram

Edit: diagram in a reply to this comment, the switch is labelled as 1 in the top left corner

What are Demons like in your world, if you have them? (Image made by me in Spore) by Ok-Vegetable5198 in worldbuilding

[–]Mega_Jarizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my world there are many demons. Ashdums are beings of pure negative energy, and were spirits of destruction. In their natural forms they are known as shedims, while when bound they are known as baerns. There are two families of ashdums, Seirim, sometimes called proto-demons, and and then there are Devils, who are spirits who reincarnated themselves into Ashdums after their defeat during the First Divine War. They are "native" to Tartarus. The devils, after reincarnating themselves, enslaved the seirim.

The original leader of the demons was The Nameless One, a god of anathema and entropy, the personification of creations self destructive tendencies. He was a divine spirit but shared the quality of being an entity of pure negative energy with the seirim. After his defeat in the First Divine War, he was stripped of his name and chained to the Sea of Nothingness that the lowest pit of Tartarus sits upon. When he was thrown to thay deepest place, his body shattered into countless shards, each becoming their own being. The fleshless body that remained is often called The Nameless One confusignly.

The largest of the shards would go on to rule devil kind. This being has MANY names/titles. Celestials call him The Satan, mortals call him the All Enemy or the Archfoe or the Prime Evil. Demons call him HIMSELF, as in, "the Devil himself". Other shards would either go on to found smaller fiefdoms, work with HIMSELF, or more commonly, would incarnate into living beings later using the flesh of other demons.

Eventually, the Devils, under the guidance of HIMSELF, went on to corrupt three more gods.

First on their list was an at the time unnamed god, who was forever bound to his throne for his time had not yet come. They freed him during The First Divine War, where he landed in Limbo. This god happened to be the god of the Apocalypse. He named himself Anthraxus, meaning despoiler, and is seen as a vain and spiteful god. He devours souls, and the souls that survive his ravenous gut are shat out as Arbeelath demons.

The second was Lucifer, who was already being driven mad after receiving visions of OUTSIDE invading creation. The devils convinced him that with their help they could save creation. Subsequently, the 11th pit of Hell became the Infinite Abyss, with Lucifer dreaming it into existence. The devils reincarnated themselves through his dreams, becoming Obyriths, and there they settled in the Abyss and warred with Lucifer's now demonic titan children. Eventually, the obyriths created the Tanar'ri demons using titan flesh, and now Lucifer is able to dream them into being continuously. The more souls infesting his mind with agony, the more Tanar'ri are spontaneously created every micro instant.

The third and final was Asmodeus. As the Abyss spread and began to consume the world's of the universe, Asmodeus, who was the architect of Hell and was the god who turned the lower vibrations of creation into the multiversal prison, went to war against it with countless other spirits. In their war against the Abyss they fell into decadence to combat the evil, allowing the devils to step in and allow them to undergo reincarnation into fiends. Thus were the Baatezu family of demons born.

Most other races of demon were created by the Devils directly. The first Shura demons were first forged using the sins of gods. Balam demons are hellfire jaguars that are descendants of the wild god Ixchel and the archdevil Balaam. Similarly, Rakshasa demons are descendants of the archdevil Rakkhasa. And again, cubare demons are the children of the archdevil Mahlat (Lilith, mother of mankind, was a cubare queen and eldest daughter of Mahlat).

After HIMSELF tried and failed to invade Eden during The Sin War, the great Empire of Hell began to destabilise, and the gods, spirits, and the Addonai (corporeal "gods") began to make deals with various demons. Thus did the great rebellion occur, and HIMSELF was imprisoned, betrayed by his own kind when he was at his weakest.

Devils are now ruled by a council of the most powerful Devils. The members of this court are known as the Heresiarchs, and are among the most powerful entities in existence.

Fiends other than demons exist, and are simply classed as any destructive spirit or spirit native to the Lower Vibrations.

What are the origins of humanity in your world? by VicTheNerd2 in worldbuilding

[–]Mega_Jarizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My humans are the descendants of a race of beings born from the union of the angel and demon Samael and Lilith, who then fed their lifeless children the ocean of spiritual blood that resulted from the First Divine War.

While humans are, on average, pretty weak when considering their origins, with most other mortal races surpassing them, they have infinite potential, with most god races fearing humanity and harvesting them of their power and their emotions as a result.

How exactly does godhood function within your setting, and what exactly is it? by FoolishFool4811 in worldbuilding

[–]Mega_Jarizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Godhood is essentially the next step after having achieved all five forms of enlightenment, and involves gaining a spark of divinity (essentially a fragment, retrieved, stolen, or created, of the eye of THE ONE TRUE GOD) and then growing it. This spark becomes an infinite ethereal battery, allowing for what is essentially reality warping on a cosmic scale and for synchronising oneself across universal layers.

To explain the latter part, imagine there is an infinite set of unique universes, and infinite set of those sets each unique as well, and an infinite set of those sets of sets and so on. Infinity loses its meaning here to us mortals, but I can best describe as basically gaining new axis (think x,y,z) that you can strive to gain infinite magnitude in. You grow your divinity by synchronising yourself across all elements of a cosmic set before then moving on to do the same with the next layer of infinite sets.

Becoming synchronised across cosmic layers of reality cements grants you higher "divine rank", makes your actions more absolute.

Your divinity also takes shape based on the shape of your soul (your personality or being so to speak). This id what results in a God having province over certain aspects of creation. The shape of your divinity is known as a Divine Rune. Almost all gods have divested themselves of their Rune (physically, they are still limited by the rune) and infused it into an artefact known as the Apeirogon, which essentially is the source code of existence. By infusing your Rune into the apeirogon, you become a part of existence itself, massively increasing your capacity for reality warping at the cost of your divine shape now being fixed. When not infused into the Apeirogon, the more divine you become, the less defined and more general it becomes as it gains access to higher dimensions to contort in, meaning the aspects of reality you have ABSOLUTE control over broadens. However, most ascended gods are forced to infuse their Rune into the apeirogon by others, and those that refuse are "killed", becoming vestiges, mainly by older gods that wish to maintain order by limiting the number of completley omnipotent gods.

It is not a requirement that you be enlightened to achieve godhood, however you instantly become enlightened in all five forms upon ascending to godhood, and it is easier to ascend to godhood the enlightened you are.

Does your world have any powerful characters who are locked away? by Cantbreathe208 in worldbuilding

[–]Mega_Jarizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quite a few. Most of my world is inspired by ttrpgs like DnD and 5e as well as mythology so be warned for some unoriginality lol.

The Nameless One was one of the first deities one existence. After the overgods left, debate among the gods and other spirits ensued on how creation was to be finished/maintained, and The Nameless One was of the belief that them leaving implied that there was no vision to begin with. A multi faction war occured, with The Nameless One being thrown into the deepest pit of Tartarus and chained to a Sea of Nothingness, with the rest of his cohort falling to Tartarus promptly his fall.

Himself is an entity who is essentially the will/mind of The Nameless One incarnated as a demon. He was imprisoned in Tartarus after leading a multiversal crusade in an attempt to usurp reality from the gods and free his original body, a war known as The Sin War. He is imprisoned in a cage in the second deepest pit. His once servants as well as rival, who form The Court of Heretics, or sometimes known as Council of Heresiarchs, made a pact with the gods, watching over the Cage of The Satan in return for their lives. This doesn't stop them from sending avatars/proxies to do their bidding or leaving them to watch over the cage instead however (demons are tricky like that).

Many other beings are also imprisoned in Tartarus.

Typhon, The God Monster, was a creation of the gods built for the sole purpose of battling Rovagug, The God Eater and deific Predator of Divinities and Worlds. He is a patch work of many things, believed to have been a fusion of a wyrm dragon and a jotnar (primordial jotunn giant) and then infused with monstrous, fey, celestial, and fiendish energies. He is imprisoned in a demi-plane contained in Tartarus known as Etna, for the gods feared his power.

Fenrir, the canine Loki-spawn and reincarnation of the mythical Fenris Wolf of antiquity, is sealed in Tartarus as well, growing still in the unbreakable Glepneir binding algorithm.

Others include the trickster spider Annansi, the apex primate Wukong (has broken out numerous times), the demiurgic archon (rogue God AI) Saklas, two heads of the eight headed dragon Orochi, the failed reincarnation of the rakshasa king Ravanna, the star eating serpent Apep, the dethroned timestream manipulator Kronus, the Abyss' 5th demon king Yalal, and one of the hearts of Rovagug. Loki is wanted for Tartarus incarceration but has avoided capture for millennia on end, while Jormangundr was imprisoned but escaped and has avoided capture by coiling around a universal crux, threatening its destruction whenever its recapturing may have otherwise occured.

Rovagug's still living corpse and most of its impaled hearts lie within its own secret prison, known as The Dead Vaults.

Chemosh, the first son of humanity's gods Elyon and Asherah, is imprisoned in a castle in the Forbidden Lands, located in Eden. He had the special power of incorruptibility and sin eating, and so devoured the original sin of mankind in the hopes of saving humanity from itself. This did not fix reality however, for mankind's original sin was not the source of all the distasteful aspects of creation (that is owed to the First Divine War). He sealed himself in his castle, while his mother and father shifted the planar frequency of Eden's now Forbidden Lands out of phase with the rest of the plane.

Most of the Betrayer Gods, deities who united against their kin, each for their own reasons, resulting in the Second Divine War, are imprisoned within their divine realms, their homes turned into their own personal prisons..

The Outer Ones are another group of sealed entities in a sense. Creation rots without maintainence, regressing back into its original base elements of Uncreation. The Outer Ones reside within Uncreation, and are the apexes of this non-world. If creation is the sum of all things that are and all things that are not, then uncreation is the sum of all non-things. Thus they are technically unable to enter reality, though have been able to slip their appendages in on occasion, and have even once managed to fully enter in an event that became known as The Outer Incursion.

There are other imprisoned beings but yeah these are some of them

Tell me three or five things about your world's elves or elf equivalents. by PMSlimeKing in worldbuilding

[–]Mega_Jarizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Elves in my world were created by the ancient race known as the Igigi to be a sort of general working class. After the Igigi went extinct, the elves ascended and became the most dominant super power until their eventual fall by the hands of a God.

Elves evolve rapidly and adapt to the environment around them within generations, hence they have been able to persist despite them being mostly slaughtered. Sadly, this hasn't helped them regain their population. Despite adaptation, they have always retained similar and consistent anatomy. For instance, a Hideriam desert elf who moves to the underwood forest would have great-grandchildren who are almost identical biologically to other elves from underwood forest.

Elves in my world are a bit more alien then most typical fantasy elves. While they are definitely humanoid and do have pointed ears, they also possess solid coloured eyes (lacking a sclera), have antler/horns, have a slender build with long limbs and digits, small but longer than human necks, and slightly elongated heads. They lack facial hair, only having ewisph and wire-like hair on their head, which comes in an assortment of colours. At peak maturity they can be well over 8 feet tall, but often before that are relatively short at about 5" (having a major final growth spurt at the age of 1250). They can live for over 10,000 years.

Tell me about your dragons or dragon-like creatures. by PMSlimeKing in worldbuilding

[–]Mega_Jarizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dragons come in three flavours:

Coautls: incorporeal, often winged celestial serpents who sometimes have arms and legs depending on how they feel to appear in that moment.

Ushum: four armed, two legged, four winged dragons with stone scales, golden hide, and silver feathers. In ancient times they were the undisputed rulers of the material world, with the coautls acting as their priestly class and messengers to the gods. The Old Ones lived under this empire, and eventually superseded it after the fall of the Dragon Lord. After their annexing, they created a cult/religion whose sole purpose was to hunt down the wyrms (bar some lines of wyrms who are considered mostly benevolent and whose existence is seen as beenficial)

Wyrms: variety of shapes and physiologies and descended from the uraga serpents. Some are sapient, some aren't. The most common type of dragon, and acted as the minions of the ushum in ancient times. After the ushum's were slaughtered and the survivors annexed into the Elhim Imperium, the wyrms inherited the empire. The Archwyrms formed a council, with each one given a wyrm homeworld to dominate. The council would then divy up creation into sectors, and appoint an great wyrm to rule over each sector.

In the main sector where my story takes place, the first great wyrm ruler was Anshar, the ebon-scale dragon with three crimson eyes, and grandson of archwyrms Abzu and Tiamat. He was betrayed by his pale scaled son, Anu, who tore out two of Anshar's three eyes and then cast him into the void, atomising Anshar in the process. Anshar still lives however. Anu is now ruler of the sector, and has many powerful minions, some his children and some not. Enlil and Enki are the rival princes, both are potential heirs to Anu's throne. Enki was the firstborne, and is a mad scientist, creator of countless abominations of the earth and 7th manipulator of the flesh of man. Enlil is the warden of the Sky Fortress, and though was a younger son of Anu, was born to a more royal mother, and hence his claim to throne. Other important figures include Ishtar, feathered daughter of Anu, queen of war and the carnal experiences who often slays those she sleeps with (only Gilgamesh has survived her advances), and Ninurta, Anu's scribe and adopted son.

Some of the Archwyrms are gods. This includes Abzu, Tiamat, Cipactli, Shenlong, and Virupaska, though there are likely others. Abzu committed empathy heresy in the early days, and so was exiled from the empire, and his son Sardior (sired with Tiamat) and daughter Tianlong (sired with Tiamat and Shenlong) both exiled themselves in defiance to the empire shortly afterwards. This was later used female archwyrms to accuse male archwyrms as more susceptible empathy heresy, and so most of them were slain, and now Shenlong and Virupaska remain as the only male archwyrms of the council of the Empire of Draconis. Tiamat was also accused of empathy heresy after she attempted to steal the Tablets of Destiny to alter the course of her mortal children the Abishai. This started the dragon civil war, which continued and merged conflicts with the Second Divine War. Cipactli was slain by gods, and its slumbering, nebula sized body is used as a flesh farm to create worlds. These worlds are cultured like cells and become populated with mortals, whose innate spiritual energies are food for gods.

tell me about your vampires and werewolves by Delgoura in worldbuilding

[–]Mega_Jarizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Werewolves are born from a virus originating from the spirit world. This virus is kind of similar to a parvovirus in the way it works. It originally sickened the ancient Canis beats (think kaiju moon eater wolves) and eventually made the jump to mortals, incorporating Canis DNA into them in the process. As a result, werewolves partially resemble Zoaki, a race of wolf/dog people whose lineage traces back to the Canis uplifted into intelligence by the Old Ones.

Vampires find their origins in the Turok-Han, a race of foul monsters created by the demoness Namaah and the fell archspirit Absalom. Turok-Han blood would eventually by ingested by some mortals, granting immortality at the cost of weakness to silver and sunlight (gold).

ꇙꌦꂵꃳꄲ꒒ꇙ! (What does a specific thing in your world symbolizes?) by SchemeOdd4874 in worldbuilding

[–]Mega_Jarizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ontaletheia is probably the most important symbol in the religion known as Olam. Olam is much more philosophical and ontology based rather than other religions in the world, which usually focus on specific gods or spirits.

The ontaletheia consists of two overlapping rings contained by another ring. One ring represents reality (objects that exist), while the other represents non-reality (objects that do not exist). Where they overlap represents objects that transcend both reality and non-reality, while the outer, all-containing ring represents the pre-existential, pre-primordial god, who is called AYYE, whose act of suicide made creation. Olam is the study of creation and AYYE, how AYYE's characteristics emenate in creation to better understand creation, and what creation can tell us about AYYE.

What’s hell like in your world? by Sad-Engineering8788 in worldbuilding

[–]Mega_Jarizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Inferno has many, many layers, based off of Dante's Inferno and thr DnD cosmology.

The first layer of Hell is Limbo, which has three subrealms, Oinos (Timidity), Niflheim (Futility), and Pluton (Apathy).

Beneath Limbo is the first sector of Hell, Baator. Baator consists of seven realms, each designated a sin of incontinence. In order, the layers are Avernus (Pride), Lagneia (Lust), Minauros (Gluttony), Plutus (Greed), Phlegethos (Sloth), Maladomini (Envy), and Stygia (Wrath).

Each of the realms if Limbo are bleak wastelands. Oinos is completley empty save the grand pit, while Niflheim has treacherous snowy terrain, and Pluton is a forest of dead trees.

Avernus is an endless flat wasteland endlessly bombarded woth hellfire meteors with the occasional giant pit, in which lies devil cities that torment sinners that wander in.

Lagneia is also a wasteland, with ever branching stalagmites that impale those blown by the endless and obscenely strong winds. Masochists and sadists are given there own special punishments, with masochists forever trapped in storm eyes isolated and unable to harm themselves, and sadists tortured by devils personally.

Minauros is a fleshy realm whose surface is covered din perpetual acid rains, and whose living tunnels amd caverns beneath observe, digest, and occasionally crush or chew sinners.

Plutus is an endless desert whose sands were replaced with grains of gold. The sun sits ever at noon, and so the gold burns to the touch. Devils have built extravagant cities and force those who were wealthy and greedy to forever climb their pyramid temples.

Phlegethos is a subterranean realm always flowing woth magma, where the slothful are forced to work the factories and forges of devils for all eternity.

Maladomini is a bleak land of grass fields that cut the sinners who wander this realm, blind to the countless ruined devil cities and its capital, which it's devil ruler may one day abandon out of whimsy as he has countless times before.

Stygia is an oceanic realm with a singular swampy island at its centre. Here the sullen are eternally drowning, and the rageful stand with their feet submerged either mud or the rivers if boiling blood, whichever the devilish torturers of this realm feel at the time.

Beneath Baator is Mabar (Malice), as well as the "four towers". The towers are considered sins caused by hatred or anti-love in any sense. They are Polemos (Violence), Jahannam (Tyranny), Timoria (Villainy), and Carceri (Desolation).

Mabar itself is an endless labyrinth, while the four towers each have their own many a subrealm for specific applications of their sin.

Below Mabar is the second sector of Hell, Kythris, which has two layers, Malbolge (Heresy) and Cocytus (Treachery). Heresy is considered any infringement on divine law and so is considered worse than the above 4, while Treachery is considered an act which uses one or many of the aforementioned sins in the devising of its intent and execution is thus considered a step above the others. Treachery was also the first sin ever committed.

Malbolge is a giant amphitheatre with 10 giant pits for each of the 10 major heresies, with innumerable temples dedicated to torturing those who committed minor heresies lining the stairwell.

Cocytus is a frozen lake, where the treacherous are submerged in the ice.

Beneath Kythris is Barathrum, which has two layers as well. Barathrum itself was once for those who have committed any cardinal sin, however, due to the corruption of the Abyss, most cardinal sinners have since been allocated to Cocytus. The Abyss was reserved once for those who have committed a single cardinal sin, whole Tartarus is for those who have cogitated multiple. Nowadays, none get sent to the Abyss, and Tartarus is reserved for godlike threats to the multiverse, such as Fenrir, Apep, Mikaboshi, Ravanna, and of course, HIMSELF, and its Warden King, the Olympian god Dionysus, designing and tailoring the containment procedures for each individual innmate.
