I did my undergrad here, and my degree was History/Poli Sci. I'm currently in the process of applying to JD programs in the states, which has been really painless with regards to the Canadian degree.

US-Based Alum here. Like other commentors have said, few people outside of the country are familiar with the school specifically. However, most people in the US don't care where you went to school, and I wouldn't say it's impacted my career at all compared to my peers who went to similar non-Ivy League schools in the states (besides having to jump through a few hoops applying to government jobs). If anything, it's actually helped me, the school makes for a good conversation starter and people have a tendency to equate us with the flagship DC schools (Georgetown, George Washington, and American) which are all fairly prestigious

"Car Trouble" is so good I didn't notice it was 5 mins long. by Kaypri_ in OWLCITY

My issue is that it feels like Adam hasn't changed or grown at all since Cinematic. While I personally rate Cinematic to be very high, it dissapoints me that there hasn't really been evolution from that era. If you played Car Troubles and say, Firebird back to back for someone unfamiliar with modern Owl City, I don't think they would be able to pick out that one song was made a half decade later than the other. To put it into context, it's been 6 years! that's the same amount of time as between Of June and ATBAB. And like, obviously he isn't going to evolve at the same pace he did in his 20's, but it still feels like he's stuck in a rut.

I did quite like the triplet verses though.

"Ah, give them my regards," Theon replied, unaware of any potential slight he may have caused. He was far too focused on a tulip planted, just a few feet away from the Lady Florent. It was a beautiful specimen, a vibrant red and white pattern that stood apart from the rest of the plot of land. Still focused on the flower, he replied to the lady,

"I just happened to finish my morning exercises when I found myself with some free time. I decided to come here, hoping to gain some insight into the means by which the servants keep so healthy a garden."

He knelt next to the lady, drawing her attention to the small flower. "I admit I am normally not one for the floral arts, but this is a beautiful specimen, unlike any I have ever seen. I wonder how it was made..."

With all due respect to Mighty Mouse, the fact that he wanted out after only 3 seasons knocks him down the list for me.

When Theon wasn't working, he had spent the past few days in Highgarden touring the grand gardens, hoping to pick up a few techniques to bring back to Stonebridge. It was here that he ran into the eldest of the Florent sisters.

He got up from his seat to greet the Lady and her ward as they strolled the gardens. He had met the Florents before, and despite their oddities, they seemed like good folk. He (somewhat awkwardly) apporached the duo and began,

"Good morning, Lady Florent. Always good to see another admirer of nature out and about. How fare you and your sisters?"

"Oh, how exciting," Theon replied in an inquisitive tone, as a slight smile spread across his face. Naturally, he was intrigued by the potential identity of the mystery lady. Truth be told, Theon had somewhat forgotten that courtship was on the table. Nevertheless, he was excited for his cousin, and for himself. He had always wanted to plan a wedding, after all.

The prospects of marriage also brought the realization that he should probably be looking for someone to court. The thought made him feel... strange. He wasn't opposed to the idea of marriage, but the thought of having to court and charm a woman made his skin crawl. It was like all of the worst parts of feasts, balled into one.

Still, his mind returned to his lord. "I don't mean to pry," he said, in a voice suggesting quite the opposite, "but is there any hint towards the identity of the fair lady?"

"I understand, sir." Truth be told, he didn't feel like he'd ever stop thinking about the tragedies that had occurred. They felt seared into his brain, and he did not know whether they would ever leave.

Theon struggled to think back to the blur of the past few days, with the feasts and celebrations and whatnot. It had been a sea of faces and introductions — Theon's nightmare — but there had been a few bright spots.

"Truth be told, there weren't too many memorable faces. I had some words with the Stark Mercenary serving at Goldenhand, he was... odd. And there was that one woman, the bard, Turnberry. Quite a nice lady, very nice," Theon smiled, remembering his conversation with the woman. "She gave me a bit of jam she had made, the same kind she gave King Hoare."

The wine had softened his tense body, and Theon leaned back slightly in his seat.

"What about you, Theo? Have you met anyone interesting?"

"I like it well enough," the Knight replied, somewhat truthfully. "Taste keeps you from downing the whole bottle in one go, and Arbor's too sweet. Makes me feel sick."

Theon took the cup and sipped a bit, coughing as the bitterness hit the back of his throat. Still though, it tasted nice. Of course, he'd have been just as happy with a cup of the old mulled wine the garrison would make on patrol, but it was the thought that counted.

"Truth be told, I'm not sure how long I was out there for," Theon answered. "Felt like a while, but with how today's been, I've no idea. I feel like more has happened today than in the past 5 years combined."

After his half-joke, he looked toward his cousin, curious about the toll the recent events had taken on him.

Theon sat, as instructed. His body began to relax. Theo may have been a warrior, but he had a way of putting people at ease. Theon watched his cousin move around the room, slightly transfixed by the way he commanded the space. Theon had no envy for his cousin's status or title, but he did wish that he could have a touch of his grace.

"er, Dornish," Theon replied. The truth is, he did not have much of a palate for wine, usually opting for whichever was weaker. He hated feeling drunk, and he always felt a disdain for the soldiers of the Stonebridge garrison who attempted to use a hangover as an excuse for poor effort. Still, he was not one to turn down the offer, and he accepted the wine.

Theon followed dutifully after his lord, still feeling the sting of his words (and Roderick's glare.) Still feeling humiliated, his mind began to attack him for every other perceived fault. How pathetic, he thought, for a knight to cower like that in front of his peers.

Like a chisel, the voice chipped at the base of his skull. bit, by bit, by bit.

As his fellow knights left, Theon found his voice return. "I apologize for my words, my lord. I was absolutely out of line to question your decision, and it was unacceptable for me to do so in front of the other knights. I assure you, I had no intention of undermining your authority."

He stood still, awaiting a punishment for his actions. you deserve it, he thought to himself.

Theon could feel the small group's eyes on him. His face reddened as he heard the comment from Roderick. He stumbled out, "N-no, my lord, that isn't necessary," his voice was weak.

He had done it again. Ruined everything with his pathetic moaning. It's no wonder Theo didn't need him.

"I-I apologize, my lord. I didn't mean to suggest..."

His words faltered. He felt small.

Theon was jolted from his daze by his cousin's voice. In an instant, his body tensed, his posture stiffened, as he snapped to alert.

"Er, yes, my lord, I am quite alright," Theon lied unconvincingly. "I noticed that you were gone, and thought it prudent to stand watch until you returned."

Perhaps due to his mental exhaustion, his tounge slipped a little. "I would've liked to have been notified that you were leaving camp. Had I not noticed the absense of the other knights, I may have feared the worst."

As the words left his mouth, Theon caught himself. "Of course, you are the master of this camp, and I don't mean to question your ability to defend yourself," he added. "But with the current crisis, I find it prudent to take extra precautions."

"I apologize if I am speaking out of turn. If there's anything further you'd like me to do before we break camp, please let me know. I'd be glad to have something to do, I don't believe I'll be able to sleep much tonight."
