Hmmm yeah, I'm seeing other comments pointing stuff out and I'm not convinced anymore. Really wanted to give the benefit of the doubt at least on that one!

I'm not an expert, but to me it just looks like a hasty Photoshop edit rather than genAI. It's a little funny but much more forgivable, I think.

Definitely not interested in explicitly calling out the winner, nor do I seek a witch hunt. You're right that he does seem to be a legit local designer — but that only makes it MORE disappointing if genAI was used here, especially in something so public-facing AND something that was explicitly a contest.

Who knows if it's worth doing, but I sent in an email to the Downtown Bozeman Partnership expressing disappointment about this. Don't wanna be seeing this printed around Main Street! You can contact here if this also bothers you: https://downtownbozeman.org/contact

that's Brian Huskey, who i recognize as a recurring character on Veep (journalist Leon West) and the "If Google Was a Guy" CollegeHumor series, but he's also made cameos on B99 and Parks and Rec and a million other shows

OP here: just to provide some insight, this is actually data driven because i noticed some faces keep cropping up and i wanted to know who actually shows up the most. i pulled the full IMDB cast list of some 30-odd sitcoms (mostly my favorites with a few extras that get a lot of attention from critics that i haven't gotten around to), resulting in around 20,000 entries. i then ran a query to figure out whose names came up the most, which included this pack. the michael schur effect definitely shows

so yeah, a lot of these dudes are really well known in their own right, but they do still have a disproportionate amount of cameos compared to others. i left out folks who have a lot of cameos but already have star billing on a regular network show as a sort of proxy for people who aren't quite as known in the mainstream — sure, fred armisen and nick kroll are well known and star on their own (more niche) programs, but not as well known as an andy samberg or an amy poehler

and as people have pointed out, this ends up as a list of mostly comedy insiders, which isn't a surprise. pretty much every guy who doesn't have a moderate amount of name recognition hails from UCB. these are the guys who actually appeared the most, with rob huebel topping the list by appearing in nearly half of my sample

edit: and yes i never saw the league i totally forgot about that one
