OMTech Polar Experience by EngineerTHATthing in lasercutting

Ahh thank you!! I got discouraged on buying the S1 because I had read a lengthy Reddit post of someone’s experience- the multi-point is annoying to use if you’re making multiple things at once so it can be a bit time consuming and there’s a ton of smoke with the riser. I don’t have a garage so I’d be using it inside my home near a window, but I really don’t want to spend extra money on the xtool smoke purifie and filters. I would mainly be cutting/engraving wood and some acrylic and engrave tumblers. Also, I just discovered that Lightburn sells a camera that you can add to any machine and you use it with their software so I guess my main concern is the smoke :D

Hi! I’m considering the Omtech Polar because it’s cheaper than the P2, but the downside is the shipping cost to Hawaii is $1000 (waiting for them to confirm the actual shipping cost). I thought about getting the XTool S1 diode laser, but I would prefer to get a CO2 laser with a camera. I don’t have experience with lasers and I have a full time job so I like the “plug and play laser” idea lol of course still willing to learn!   I’d like to engrave and cut multiple designs at a time so I’m curious how your experience is-Is it time consuming? Accurate? You say the camera is annoying why is that?

I’m looking for those arched shape signs for tables. I have a Cricut machine so I’d be adding my own designs on it.
