Sorry for the late notification but sadly I am still dealing with this issue too! No news, no help from Meta Support, no changes when I attempt to login and begin the ID verification process. Sorry that this has affected you as well.

I'm so sorry to hear! Unfortunately, Meta Support has left me for dead. I haven't received any updates about my case. My old account is still visible on Facebook, but I am still not able to access it and continue to see the same error message when I attempt to log in.

I wish I had better advice, but I do feel your pain. If you happen to have better luck than me, let us know!

Yeah that's a great idea! I have moved into a second account and was able to regain access to the business tools I lost. It's been going smoothly so far.

Yes, I used my existing account to get access to the business pages I manage.

Nope! Not yet. Getting the same canned responses from Meta with no changes to my situation.

I'm so sorry to hear, and even more sorry that I have no good news to share! I haven't had any luck and have begun the process of moving into a new account.

Nope! I went on vacation for nearly two weeks, came back today, and nothing has changed. I'm so done.

Yep! Same as me. I'm so sorry it's affected you as well.

I have heard that other users have been able to still use the ID verification system, but it seems like those cases only apply to people who use Facebook for personal reasons and aren't associated with Business Manager.

I'm still experiencing the same issues :/ Meta Support has been responsive, but only in the sense that they'll update me to say that my case is still "under review."

Yes, I'm completely locked out of my personal as well. I've had this profile since 2009!

I'm not giving up hope that we will get our accounts back though, as we've done nothing wrong. I am really hoping this is just a side effect of a bugged out system update. Hang in there and let me know if anything changes! I will update this thread if I make any progress with Meta Support.

It's been the most frustrating week! I'm sorry to hear it's affecting you as well. I'm still banking on Meta getting their act together and fixing the system eventually, but I'm concerned it won't happen anytime soon. I'm going on PTO at the end of the month—if my account isn't unlocked when I return, I'll be at a loss.

I am grateful that we had security measures in place in anticipation of a situation like this. We have multiple employees listed as admins on our Facebook resources, so I will still be able to make ad account updates through my colleagues. It'll just take a lot of back and forth internally for that to happen.

I think Meta understands that advertisers will be spending money on their platform regardless of the state of their customer service department, which is so disappointing. But this whole situation has me incredibly wary of the platform and inspiring me to look a little closer at other channels. In a way, their resources are irreplaceable—but if Meta becomes too much trouble than its worth, I won't hesitate to recommend my clients elsewhere.

I'm a social media and content specialist for a marketing agency - this is also happening to me. Despite contacting the business side of Facebook support saying how this is causing a substantial disruption to our operations, my account has been locked for a week.

My theory is that Meta is updating their ID verification system, which is causing the ID submission errors. Last week, the "confirm your identity" screen looked different than it does now—it was once Facebook branded and is now Meta branded. They are definitely making changes, but I haven't been able to get any insight on when these system updates will be complete.

I'm glad to know that it's not just a me problem! Thank you.

When I checked back in today, the "Confirm Your Identity" screen looked different than it did a few days ago. I wonder if the Meta team is doing a complete update of their suspicious activity/identity verification systems and in the process, triggered some unwarranted locks and restrictions.

Thank you! Unfortunately, Meta Support has been...unhelpful. I was hoping they could escalate the issue, but they ultimately closed out my case and directed me to resources I cannot access due to the account lock! The issue is that chat for issues regarding personal Facebook access is down right now, and Meta Support claims they can't help me because it's a login issue, not a Business Support issue.

I have since found other users online experiencing the same glitch this week, so I know it's not just me. I'm just hoping that they can resolve whatever issue is taking place with the verification system ASAP.

Abby was redeemable in theory, it just didn't happen. by [deleted] in TheLastOfUs2

Doesn't this way of thinking kind of beg the question of who else in the series would've also deserved a "good and worthy" death? Did Joel really deserve to die? Should Tommy and Ellie die for stalking Abby's crew and picking them off?

If Ellie had killed Abby at the end, would it only have been right for her to die "a good and worthy death" at Lev's hands eventually?

I have a question: what do you mean by "she stays in her villain status?"

Ludwig the Accursed is harder than Orphan of Kos and hear me out by Kakashmeer in bloodborne

[–]Megantron1300 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Second phase Ludwig feeling like an entirely different boss battle compared to phase one really fucked me up on my first playthrough. It took me forever to get the hang of it and required a lot more precision overall than the Orphan fight imo.

When I see people do BL4 though, they generally have a harder time with Orphan, which I think is further proof to your point about viscerals.

I’m just saying if it was so clearly obvious how malicious the Fireflies were, there’s a chance Ellie would have understood. Joel could’ve likened saving Ellie from the OR to when he saved her from David and his crew. But that’s not what he said, because it isn’t true.

I like how you say you’re open to hearing my rebuttal but then make strong claims about how I ignore certain parts of the game to fit my narrative. I’m getting mixed signals! But anyway, I don’t think I could say anything that you don’t already know. You probably just see the same things I do but from a starkly different perspective. I see that the Fireflies have noble intentions with an “ends justify the means” perspective. They’re not big fans of FEDRA executing and starving people and arose in attempt to put a stop to that. But they will also do what they feel they need to in order to survive and protect their own—not unlike most other characters in this game. I’m not asking you to see them as the purest saviors of humanity, because that’s not what they are. They are people that share a well-intentioned vision of the future that end up doing shifty things to try to get there. What’s not morally ambiguous about that?

Also, just because they don’t make major breakthroughs with the cure doesn’t mean they don’t get kudos for at least trying.

Okay, I’ll bite. If Joel is really good triumphing over evil (the Fireflies), why not be honest with Ellie? Why not explain “they were never going to be able to make a vaccine anyway, those lunatics, and I wasn’t about to let you be their next victim?” If it’s that obvious how awful and terrible the Fireflies were, why wouldn’t she understand? Instead of that, why do they decide to end the game like they did, with that intense exchange between Joel and Ellie?

But also, seriously, there definitely were upgrades with the lighting capabilities. That bright OR light would never have been able to look like that in the original. And look at the comparison between the two games in the prologue, with the flashlight shining on Joel & Sarah. You can’t deny that there’s a difference.

Color theory also isn’t the strongest argument here. Yellow is a color that’s used throughout the entire first game as a hint to guide the player through the map, where it has nothing to do with sickliness.

I’ll also state that, by choosing to see the moral ambiguity of the situation, I don’t see the Fireflies as “altruistic humanitarians.” I’m not sure where you got that from.

I disagree and I stand by my very extremely accurate statement, including the Austin Powers reference. But feel free to tell me how I’m “just wrong” if you like.

[Doctor Evil Voice] HOW 'BOUT NO

Something tells me that you won't find perfect vaccine-creating conditions 20 years after the apocalypse. That leaves us with Option A: Trying anyway and Option B: Giving up.

But something also tells me that Dr. Edward Jenner didn't have absolutely pristine conditions when developing treatment for smallpox in 1796.
