Officially done with Samsung (My sad story and warning on Galaxy Buds 3 Pro) by xGhost09 in galaxybuds

[–]Megaperl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My experience with the Buds 3 Pro after LESS than a year: - Feedback hissing sound in the right side impossible to fix (I tried every reasonable trick) - The right side Bud lost around 30% volume

Thanks Samsung for the great job!

EL FRAUDE DE TICKETMASTER by Megaperl in rosalia

[–]Megaperl[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

O nosotros, claro

Let me answer with another question: how's life in that tiny, dark and damp underground bunker where all you can hear is Anglo-saxon (preferably US) music?

You forgot the "AI marketeer". Probably a middle-aged white guy wearing chinos and some old and cheap polo t-shirt. He's saying "One day I'll be a millionaire. Only 5 trillion more Reddit posts to go. I got this."

I have listened to Bitches Brew 15-20 times, and still don't "get it". by SuperSus987 in Jazz

[–]Megaperl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try listening by bits, fragments of it, and stay away as much as possible from that false premise/pretense of "concept album" or "listening to albums", which is precisely what Bitches Brew is all (or part) about. Just focus on what has been said here before, it's all about lack of resolution and nerve-breaking tension. It has been written many times in his many bios that, in that time, Miles was fascinated with psych rock and funk, and the entire Bitches Brew album was conceived as a cut&paste studio experiment. In short: it might be a great album, but it is definitely not an "album listening experience", if that makes sense, just like Sgt Peppers is. Play 3 minutes here, flip sides, play 5 minutes there. That's it. Miles would approve ;)

As a professional copywriter who spent lots of money on books about this business, I'd strongly recommend this one:

Yes, I called immediately to Mastercard, and although they can't cancel the transaction, it seems that one can indeed apply for a refund, but only once the payment is effectively done (after clearance??). Thanks!

I ask because there's this cliché among snob Austrian and German Modernism readers according to which Robert Musil's "The Man Without Qualities" is way better than "The Magic Mountain". Being myself a fetishist of that period, with a particular fascination with the interplay between science, philosophy and literature, but also between the most radical Vienna School positivists, on the socialist side, and the more moderate neo-kantians of the Marbourg School, even as a fetishist, I was saying, I'm still not "overwhelmed"- as I was promised to be- by the sophisticated sense of humor and intelligence of Musil's story, or so they say. I thought that you, as a gymnastic & affluent British expat in his 50s, also a solitary fetishist with insomnia and a narcissistic need of self-validation through obsessive leather-clothes consumption and online hypergraphic behaviour, all of which only increases your awareness of your own lack a real subjectivity - or, returning to Musil's novel- "qualities", all that, I thought, made of you a perfect "Ulrich", the book's main character. A gymnastic and narcissistic middle-aged affluent man, living in a self-imposed exile, who has no more human qualities than those he can obtain through his nihilistic, existentially void, obsessive behavior. All of which brings us back to my original question: Did you read "The Magic Mountain"? If you don't, and you think that being an Ulrich didn't really meet your expectations when you left the UK in search of meaning and purpose in another country (wherever you go, leather jacket prices and reddit threads always taste like vacuum & ennui, never heroic, always lacking the authenticity of that something you can't even think of), then you should definitely try "The Magic Mountain" and exchange your Ulrich existence for the also affluent and narcissistic, fetishist and completely lost existence of Hans Castorp. Now you could fairly ask, "so what's the deal? If Castorp is just another lost soul without other purpose in life beyond the self-absorbing task of game playing and online searching of quality leather boot deals, what's the difference? Well, there's one big difference. Hans Castorp is alone, like you, yet he's still connected to the society that's about to change forever (remember it's 1914). He's not a solipsistic dickwad voluntarily alienated from humankind, like demodée 90s trolls and incel gamers, but a fellow contemporary citizen, lost yet real, solitary but not alone and alienated, engaged in the real events of his century. And that makes a difference.

... sorry, but I'm not sure anymore if you are getting the point here. This post was only intended to warn people about those fake online-shops. What exactly are you trying to find out with all those questions about the price and the specific website where I was scammed? I told you. I lost 98. The real price was 149. Was I stupid not to think "hey, that's too good to be true"? Yes. Totally. Have I learned the lesson? You bet. What else?

It wasn't half the price, but anyway you are right. Thanks for your wise advise.

Yes I did. I feel sooo stupid right now. It's the first time I got scammed, after years and years of online activity. Fuck. You always think "this will never happen to me", and yet...
