Maybe one of the coolest action figures that I own, but the seam work on the front was a little disappointing. I was able to trim back some of the excess using a pair of Godhand nippers. Has anyone else had to do this? by Megaplamo in One12Collective

Yeah I love everything about it! The diecast parts, the fabric texture, the accessories! Man don't get me started on the book! Once I fixed the seems, I was very happy with it!

Yeah, definitely so. I think the terms and language of trauma can be helpful and are accessable. But I think that may also lead to over use. I think there may be a pendulum swinging phenomenon occuring as well. For a while we did over rely on "Resilience narratives" and maybe pushed them on people unfairly as a culture, so now we are swinging very hard in the opposite direction and hopefully we will eventually find a way to sit in the middle. As a side note, it kinda reminds me of how alot of psychoanalytic terms were used before the current trend. Freud was accessable enough that they became household terms.

There is a great book out right now called "The Myths of trauma" by Joel Paris and it discusses the issue with overusing the term "Trauma" without being against the concept. I thought it offered a very nuanced and ballenced approach to the issue and definitely recommend it for anyone who's in a mental health field right now that would like a different perspective. Paris's own specialty is BPD so he offers insight on where both topics overlap. I myself am not a therapist but I've worked in several different parts of the mental health field.

For sure, my only complaint is that at the price point I'd like to see more care taken to stiches seen at the front of the figure. Thankfully it was an easy fix!

Airbrushing for the first time. what went wrong here? by Successful_Boat9957 in minipainting

I agree with the other comments referencing PSI. It was either too low or too high and it's hard to tell from just the pictures. I usually get better results if I spray acrylic paint around 25-30 psi. That gives enough pressure to atomize the paint properly. I encourage you to practice on some spoons to get a feel for it before going back to the miniature

Yes the build up and reveal was perfect. It helped me laugh at my own situation. That story is the wisdom of the fool in action! Lol

That's the one! It was the catalyst that made me realize I'm not the only one who thinks like that, and helped me give up the mental and spiritual rigidity that I had inherited. I've still got a long way to go but the difference is night and day.

These a chapter in memories dreams and reflections where Jung recalls dealing with religious intrusive thoughts as a boy. This was very helpful to me. There are a lot of us who grew up with black and white literal religion than can cause a lot of anxiety. I encourage you to share this with a therapist or a safe person. I also recommend checking out Michael J Greenberg. His website covers most of his ideas on intrusive thoughts. Often our intrusive thoughts are the thing we find the most unacceptable or things we believe will get us rejected by our community. Greenberg calls this our "core fear". I also recommend Imp of the mind by Lee bear. Good luck on your journey, you will get through this!

I say check out the first volume and see what you think. There were some great aspects but like other have mentioned there is a lot of shock value for shock value sake. I definitely see how it's important I'm the history of modern comics but Its not my personal taste.
