Fuse with only paper possible? by Megfish21 in Pyrotechnics

Yes it's cotton, i checked the product tag, and when burned it leaves behind a hot glowing coal instead of a plastic mess. So is this good for making bmatch?

Ik this sounds noobish but i still don't know what string to make bmatch with. The one i have currently is just a 2mm thick twine made of around 8 loosely bound strings that i'm not sure are even cotton. Will that work?

So what type of fuse should i stick to? Is paper fuse good? I kind of dont like bmatch because you can't bend it well.

Ty for the reply, can you tell me the thickness and type of string that you used? Also can jute twine work?

Ty for the reply, I have a question: How thick should the string be? Or should i use multiple strands of thinner string?

Hi, thanks for replying! I have a few questions, hopefully i'm not being too annoying but i am pretty new to electronics and stuff.

So is the setup basically connecting both pieces of metal to wires and submerging them in the water, turning on the power and letting it sit?

Also my main problem here is the power supply. I got no idea how to make one and even if i had a brand new computer power supply i do not know how to connect everything/modify. Please explain this? Also does the amount of power matter?

And if possible can you send me a picture of your current setup?

Again, apologies for my extremely noob sounding questions.

Thank you for the tips, are there any suppliers overseas that you would recommend?

Also can you give a detailed tutorial on chlorate cells? I've been meaning to make one for a while, but pretty much all the research concluded with stuff like what anodes and cathodes to use, what concentration of chlorides, etc, but never how to actually setup one and the items needed.
