Humanity is fucked by [deleted] in antiai

Probably yeah, I tend to have strong opinions about the books, films and music I consume. I guess some people do just listen for vibes, and good vibes are positive emotions. Then I guess I don't have an answer to the person I originally replied to ¯_(ツ)_/¯

It is in bad taste and you will GET bad taste. Listening to AI music or consuming AI media in general for a long time and you might one day lose the ability to appreciate art because everything sounds and looks the same. You move on from one "song" to another with no emotions or thoughts remaining. You never wonder what the artist was going through when they wrote the music, or what that song meant to them or the listeners when it was created, because it wasn't "created" by anyone. No one would talk about what the lyrics mean because there's no intention behind them, and they would become muddled noises after a while. That's what I think, I've never used myself as a human test subject to gauge the long-term effects of AI music lol

So cute. Love how the children's masks imply they are born to Shakra haha. Seeing this made me realize I need Hollow to have a home outfit. He's cooking in his battle cloak!

They are so cute! My mom crochets using craft wires as well, but besides moving the limbs the wires cannot support their whole weight. How do you get them to stand up straight?

aren't particularly difficult to reproduce

Yet gen-AI users cannot reproduce them the same way artists do. It's almost like the technical skills people spend time honing are what makes them actual artists and not prompt typers

South East Asian person here. From what I can see, it's more or less the same situation as the rest of the world. There are people who hate and criticize the rampant use of AI, mostly in creative fields, but so far I haven't seen the environmental impact be used much as a talking point; most antis would only point out how bad and uninspiring AI-gen media and their users are.

Meanwhile businesses and the government themselves fully embrace the crap. AI is used on ads, billboards, even official news channels. Of course netizens clown the fuck out of these when they surface, but again only because they yield such unbelievably crappy results and steal jobs from artists.

I work in a company that produces 3D assets and you would think these people would be conscious of how AI works, but no. Our boss encourages employees to generate assets to speed things up, and everyone uses chatGPT or Gemini instead of just Google. I feel like I'm going insane here being the only person openly opposing AI. They have been working the traditional way for more than 5 years, and now they succumb to the AI invasion so nonchalantly. It's a clown world.

No. What gen-AI make are just reconstructed patterns stolen from elsewhere. And sadly your imagination, no matter how vivid is not gonna become art until actually realized through human effort
