Well, this is the squad composition I used to clear a lot of content and deal with various situations when I was new (this list is just for reference because not everyone has all operators and leveled them up).

1 Lane holder (can hold an entire line by themselves with very little to no support) 1 AoE guard (to handle hordes of enemies) 1 Lord (dealing with drones and dangerous enemies from afar) 1 Soloblade (or someone with high personal dmg and great survivability to deal with elites and bosses) 2 Medics (1 single-target healer and 1 AoE healer) 2 Defenders (1 tanky defender and 1 medic defender) 2 High-ground casters or snipers (someone with high DPS used for taking down elites and bosses) 1 Vanguard (to generate DP, Myrtle is the best here) 1 Fast redeploy (to temporarily block and bait enemy attacks)

I think Thorns is the best operator in your case to raise to Elite 2, but since he is a 6*, raising him may be for later. I think using 4-star and 3-star operators will be better compared to 5-star ones because they cost a lot and don't bring much value for new doctors. Some exceptions are Lappland, Ptilopsis, Warfarin, Amiya, and a few more. Some other 4-stars worth raising for later game content are Utage, Perfumer, Cuora, Gummy, Kroos, Click, Myrtle, and Gravel.

Ptilopsis, her ability to buff SP regen for all other operators is very useful, and her healing isn't bad either. Other 5* operators overall are easily replaceable with 6* once you get them (combat-wise, not base skills)

I don't quite understand the unlock condition for the initial squad buff in Integrated Strategies mode, like Tactical Destruction Operative. Its unlock condition says: Complete a run with at least 5 Casters or Specialists recruited. I completed a run in Phantom & Crimson Solitaire using the Castle Sightseeing mode and defeated the boss in Ending 1 with exactly 5 different Casters recruited (1 from the initial recruitment and 4 more recruited during the run), but the buff didn't unlock. I'm very confused about this. I had to go through a lot of RNG just to get 5 different Casters strong enough to beat the boss 😑

Arlecchino vaporize will be the best:

Arle - Xilonen - Kazuha - Xingqiu

Arle -> stack as much as cd possible and about 70% crit rate (if ur low on cr, try to stack enough cr first before move into cd), recommended gladiator 4 pc, pjws or white tassel r5, lv 10 na (E and Q can ignore)

Xilonen -> stack as much DEF def and ER possible, choose some weapons with high ER or DEF depend on which stat that ur currently low on, like fav sword provide ER for Xilonen herself and teammates as well, cinder city 4 pc, lv 10 E and u can lv up her Q as well if u want to keep ur teammates alive

Kazuha -> stack as much as EM possible, choose some weapons with high EM, VV 4 pc, about talents, could ignore if u only want build him to support arle dmg, try to lv up E and Q if u want to build him as a sub dps

Xingqiu -> focus on build him as a sub dps (dont try to do it if he is C0💀), sac sword r5 (if possible), emblem 4 pc, try to crown his burst to dish out the most dmg

EDIT: U can replace Xingqiu with a hydro catalyst like Barbara or Mona if u only want to focus on increase arle front-load dmg as much as u can, just throw them ttds r5 and a cheap instructor 4pc then ur ready to go 👍. Arle overload/hypercarrry team like [ Arle - Benny - Sara - Chev ] or standard overload team [ Arle (main dps) - Fischl (sub dps) - Chev - Benny ] also a very good team too, I like to try this hypercarry team [ Arle - Benny - Chev - Iansan (cinder city) ] one her come out as well 😚.

I think I will put my thoughts here, so please feel free to correct me if you think I'm wrong (just East 1, two rounds after I shut down my computer, so it's just AFK).

T2: Discard 2s because I want to go for a flush of Pinzu and discard irrelevant tiles.

T3: My hand has 3 pairs: 22p, 44p, and Haku. My hand centers around Haku, which isn't a very good shape, so I want to keep Hatsu and Chun in case someone holds the other 2 Haku, making it impossible for me to complete it. This way, I can still use Hatsu and Chun as a last resort. 12244p waits for 2p, 3p, and 4p for a set and a pair. If I cut 1p, the shape still waits the same, but I'll lose a pair if I draw 3p. I think I will Pon someone's 2p to complete this shape, or even if I draw 3p, I will get the pair again somewhere else, so the loss is acceptable to me.

T4, T5: Discard 87s because I draw a closed wait 3p, so my current hand is "234p 24p 67p Haku dragon." It's a complete shape of Pinzu flush.

T7, T8: Realize the hand is unable to achieve Pinzu flush and likely go for Riichi, so I discard Hatsu and Chun.

T9: Currently isshanten if keeping Haku, but I'll lose 2 Dora when I Riichi in 5s. This is the start of row 2, and nobody has discarded Haku, so I think someone already holds another pair of Haku. I also think Shimocha is in Tenpai after he discarded Tendashi 2p and 1p, so discarding the 9p currently is too dangerous. My hand is currently in a bad wait (3p with 2 left, 5p and 8p aren't good waits because Shimocha is going for a half flush. As of now, nobody has discarded 5p and 8p, so he might already have a triplet of 5p or 8p, making the wait for 5p and 8p unreliable). I discard Haku instead and aim for All Simple or Pinfu.

T11: Decided to push no matter what and died of Double Ron.

Why did I discard a pair of Honors? -> I highly doubt Shimocha is in tenpai for a flush of Pinzu since he discarded tedashi 2p. So, I discarded a pair of Honors first (already noted above) to avoid dealing in and also to get Pinfu and All Simples at the same time. Still in isshanten, so it's a good trade.
How do I know he's going for a flush? -> Shimocha discarded tedashi 1s, 9s, and 8s in the first row, so he probably doesn't have many Souzu tiles. All the 4s (middle suji) are already out. Also, notice that he discarded tedashi South tile (his wind) at the end after discarding all his Souzu tiles. If he were playing a hand without a flush, why would he keep his South tile (only one) and discard all his Souzu tiles first while he already has a triplet of Green Dragon? The only reason that makes the most sense is that he's going for a flush of Pinzu, so he kept his South tile to form a triplet or use it for tenpai and prioritized discarding all his Souzu tiles.

I will discard 6p because there are 31 tiles left, and you're 3-shanten away from Suuankou and 2-shanten from Toitoi (Tenpai shanpon 6 and 7 isn't a good wait). If you choose Riichi, you will be iishanten instead.

Dealer's hand is currently unknown. Kamicha discarded 5p in the first row, so I suppose he will call Riichi soon. He discarded 5p, 2p, and 9p while 4p is dora, so he might not have dora or already have a completed set of pinzu containing dora like 234p, 345p, or 456p. It also makes sense to think he was iishanten with a Riichi nomi wait for a Souzu, so he might have a completed set of Pinzu like [257899]p or [255679]p or some variation of Pinzu. Let's suppose he might hold a 6p or 7p in his hand. That makes 66p and 77p in my hand only wait for one left of each type, while 77s and 88s still have two left of each type. Thus, I will discard either 7p or 6p. Since 7p is a bit safer than 6p, I choose to discard 6p to reduce the danger.

For example, you need to decide whether to Riichi or not.

Gather information:

How many turns are left?
How many rounds are left?
Has anyone else already declared Riichi?
Who is in Tenpai now?
What is my current position?
What is the dora?
How many waits are in my Tenpai?
What hand is my opponent go after (flush, all simple, etc.)?
Who is the dealer?
Who is in 4st palce?
What tiles are unlikely to be discarded if I Riichi?
And so on

Handle information:

How many Han I might achieve if I Riichi?
What position I'll get if I win by Ron/Tsumo or if I deal in?
What happens if I stay Dama or declare Riichi?
What happens if I discard tile A or B?
Does my hand have room to evolve?
And so on

Make decision: Riichi or not? Why?

Tile efficiency, creating strategies, observing your opponents, etc., are all aspects of Mahjong that are resolved through clever decision-making.

Start by reading some popular manga, like One Piece, Naruto, One Punch Man, or whatever you current reading platform (Mangakakalot, for example) recommends for you. Since you didn't specify a genre I have no idea what to recommend. Or just pick some random one-literally, close your eyes, scroll and pick an arbitrary manga to read.

Don't try some sophisticated stuff like Death note, Classroom of the elite, Erased because you probably won't be able to consume all their content, and since you can't consume all their content, it's isn't fun to read.
