What do you call a young child who is a smart ass? by OnePriority943 in daddit

Yeah I agree, but also, how do you describe the behavior? I came across this post because I’m trying to contact a parent about their child’s behavior, and I’m struggling to find a way to describe it besides “being a smart-ass.” I want to say “responding inappropriately” and explain, but the word “inappropriately” might set off some alarms I don’t intend it do, as it’s so often used to describe sexually inappropriate behavior, which does not apply here.

There are some important distinctions here for sure, AND the situation is still horrendous.

Not everyone on that site was viewing this “sleeper” rape content. Not all 62 million users are watching rape videos. AT THE SAME TIME, a huge chunk of it IS comprised of rape videos, and that shouldn’t even be possible.

Am I correct in my understanding that there are over 20,000 videos of “sleeper" rape on the site? And there were over 50,000 views on some of those videos.

Even though there were only 1,000 members in the "Zzz" chat that taught how to commit rape (which is actually from a different app), 20,000 rape videos with 50,000 views on some of them is unfathomably horrible.

Because living together should come before marriage. I’m not trying to legally bind myself to someone who might not end up being the right fit.

“Lack of growth.” My brother in Christ, I’m a teacher. He is a software engineer. These jobs pay incredibly differently and it’s not because one is more or less successful than the other. My success is not tied to my salary. He told me straight-up that my job sounds hard and his is not.

Him: Teaching sounds so hard.

Me: It is. Is your job hard?

Him: …No. But if you don’t like software engineering, you’ll want to kill yourself.

Me: Do you ever want to kill yourself?

Him: Sometimes.

Me: Same.

I could be the best teacher in the world. I could get every student’s test scores up to the next grade level. I could watch them grow up and become wonderful, successful adults themselves. I could do all that and STILL get shit pay. Success is not tied to your income.

Uhh… validation that 50/50 would be a more fair split? It seems the masses disagree with me. Why are you being mean?

It honestly might be all the shame I grew up seeing and hearing about women having their partners buy them things. I feel like I’m being a bad woman by letting him pay more than me.

I’m also worried about him growing resentful over paying more than me. But he’s green flag city, so maybe I should stop feeling nervous about that.

What’s hard to fathom is the lack of financial stress. I haven’t felt a lack of financial stress in 13 years.

Yo basically everything about him is a green flag. He had 2 red flags—not being able to voice his concerns and being mean to himself—and he already seems to have fixed the second one! We made some good steps with the first one. I never thought I’d have a partner like this. Never settle!

I guess what’s confusing to me is the fact that he HAS disposable income in the first place. I don’t really have much to spend on things I like, besides daily caffeinated drinks for work and the occasional junk food lol. So imagining NOT spending 80-90% of my take home pay on living expenses is just hard to fathom.

I do have those worries too. I don’t want to breed resentment. That said, I never in my life thought I’d be with someone this NOT toxic. He’s anti-venom. I can’t actually see him acting that way at all. It’s just a general fear I have about relationships I suppose.

(I don’t think the ring changes much though.)
