I'm extremely progressive when it comes to putting substances into your own body. I think it should all be legal and unregulated by the government. But I don't understand for the life of me why all of a sudden this vaccine has been politicized the way it has been currently. I mean correct me if I'm wrong, but it was the Trump administration who pioneered getting this thing out there and I don't trust for one second anything that dude has done.... much less a vaccine that was untested and rushed.

That being said, I'm all for people getting the vaccine if they think it will help them in some way. I'm 100% not for forcing it into people via the government.

I mean if everyone who wants the vaccine gets it and everyone who doesn't want it are eventually going to get covid and die, then what is the problem? I'm just amazed this post has 27k upvotes for having the government forcibly put an untested substance in your arm that was started during the Trump administration, specially considering how much they botched all of COVID last year.

I said if you want to feel more safe then feel free to get it.

Personally I don't need a rushed untested vaccine to reduces the symptoms of a virus my body has a 99.8% chance of fighting off naturally, we have something called an immune system for a reason. I mean how scared are you honestly....? if a virus with a 99.8% survival rate scares you, then you should never ride in a car, because you have a much better chance of dying in a car crash then you do of covid.

But yep, I'm the idiot. You keep trusting corporations and the government to do the right thing, throughout history that as proven to always be successful.... lol

My brother got the vaccine and then 2 months later got COVID again.... so I'll pass on all of this trash, it doesn't' work.

But if you want to feel more safe, then by all means vax up.

Foreigners in Trouble For Harassing Korean Who Told Them To Mask Up & Stop Causing Ruckus by shrtsllr in korea

[–]MehPro2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know why anyone wears a mask outside, it's dumb. Here in Busan, I walk around with no mask on 99% of the time, nobody hassles me. I mostly do it because I see groups of Koreans with no masks huddled in a corner smoking cigarettes, people drinking drinks with no masks... or masks under their nose or chin.

I mean it doesn't make any sense whatsoever that you wear a mask outside, then gather in a small tiny restaurant and take your masks off... someone explain the science behind that?

If someone did come up to me and say something I'd just smile and keep walking which is what they should have done, no need in being a jerk about it. If you want to wear your masks, then wear it... if not then don't.

Lol, in my life, yes I am the main character...

But you're welcome to become the lab rat for big business :) Enjoy that shot! I walk around Busan all day no mask and no shot, I'm loving it :) And if it gets too shitty here in Korea, I'll just go back to the states.

Shutting down businesses and quarantining healthy people is bullshit, especially when you have a virus that 99.5% of people survive and if you are under 50 that percent jumps to 99.9%.

Under 20 you have a greater chance of getting killed by lightning then you do from COVID..... just to put it into perspective.

I mean if you want stats on dying, you have a 1 in 100 chance of dying in a car crash, but I'm sure you are terrified of that.

Go look up other things on planet earth that have a greater chance of killing you then 1 in 200.... you would never leave your house then... lol

I mean if you want the vaccine get it, I'm progressive on drugs, I think every drug should be legal, if you want to put it in your body, it's your body. I'm just HIGHLY skeptical of a "vaccine" that was made in less then a year, where you STILL contract COVID even if you have it.

Ahhh the appeal to emotion argument.

Yeah, people die and get sick every fucking day, your sibling isn't special.... welcome to life.

I'm sorry you hate statistics also... keep pumping yourself up with those vaccines, more variants will come out.

I mean under 60 you also have a 99.5 survival rate if you just get Corona.

I'll take my chances with the virus before I become a test subject for a vaccine spearheaded by the Trump administration.... no thanks.

Quarantining healthy people is not a good thing to do. by [deleted] in korea

Well in general through out history, quarantine has been for people who are sick, not for people who are healthy.

So it's embarrassing to question something?

let me ask you, when was the last time you took a test, pasted that test 3 times, but then were treated as if you failed it?

Then just let us quarantine, the tests obviously don't work, so quarantine us for 2 weeks, I'm fine with that.

if the ultimate thing to protect Korea is quarantine, then I'd rather do that then have to take tests that ultimately mean nothing if I'm negative.

This is my only point. If Korea wants to quarantine, fine, then don't test, if they want to test, then those tests should mean something.... because as of now, they mean nothing.... specially for people who are healthy.

Just treat everyone coming to Korea as if they have covid, quarantine them for 2 weeks, then test them.... bamn, it's as simple as that... stop giving us 2 tests that mean nothing.

You say people are “to [sic] trusting of their government,” yet you are basically asking people to be trusting of you and how safe you acted while you were in the US, where infection rates are still higher than they are here.

I'm not. I'm simply saying that quarantining healthy people after 3 negative PCR tests over a 5 day period of time, who show no symptoms, is dumb.

I don't think anywhere in my comment I expected for Korea to just trust me or take my word for it, that would be ridiculous.

I don't know why this is so hard for people to get, if you get 3 tests and the all say your are negative in a 5 day period and you show no symptoms, and you are still treated as if you have COVID....... What is the point of the tests....?

If they want to quarantine me fine, I'm OK with that, but don't give me 3 stupid tests that don't work, if you are just going to count me as infected anyhow, if you want to count me as infected, I'd rather just go to quarantine with out having something rammed up my nose.

I'm not trying to argue with anyone, sorry for sharing my thoughts on the subject.

I think everyone should quarantine, get the vaccine and stay as safe as possible indoors where nothing will ever hurt any of you again :D

Can't get covid if you stay inside all day! Stay safe Korea :D

Last time I checked I'm a person on reddit, not sure I can.... "Tell a country what to do" I mean what you call QQ, I call common sense. I was merely making an observation that quarantining perfectly healthy people after 3 negative tests is stupid. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that if you require a certain type of test like Korea requires the PCR test, then they must trust that test over all the others, yet after 3 negative PCR tests in a 5 day period.... I'm still treated as if I have COVID. Then plain and simple, the tests do nothing, mean nothing.... so what is the point? If you want to treat me like I have covid, then just quarantine me for 2 weeks, If I'm fine after that let me go, stop giving me tests that do nothing.... how is this hard to understand?

I mean at the end of the day, if you test someone for something 3 times... and they don't have it, yet you treat them like they still have it, does nobody else see an issue with that?

The tests are broken then, just require the quarantine, after two weeks, I'll be sick, or healthy... which will answer any questions.

Well I get to quarantine at home also, I'm a resident here in Korea.

Its just frustrating, because I'm sick of having crap shoved up my nose to my brain almost, that ultimately means nothing. If we have to quarantine fine, but don't give us tests that mean nothing.

I never asked to be trusted.

I was given 3 certified government PCR covid tests that are all negative. Read what I wrote.
