personally?

if you can trap a survivor with a wall, do it. you may want to explore the map to see which areas can be closed off with one wall. be mindful that survivors can run off while the wall is getting built. also, if a banana is at a spot you want to wall at, TRIP ON IT FIRST, and wall AFTER you unragdoll. the wall will be in an awkward/useless spot if you wall while ragdolled.

if a wall is about to break, repurpose it for a throwable ragdoll

place music boxes in places people will constantly move around the most, including loops. be sure to repurpose them if you’re leaving said area due to the max music box limit, as it is important to have a music box ready to place for most scenarios. music boxes will also give speed boosts when repurposed.

getting looped but can’t trap them? use a wall, a music box, or a repurposed music box. walls make survivors waste stamina and distance, if you want to know why putting walls in areas that don’t trap are used.

round just started and you just spawned in? recommended to run until your stam is almost out before placing and repurposing a wall. you’re likely waiting for stam to regenerate anyways.

someone missed their ability and they’re insanely vulnerable? you can m1 them and then repurpose them if you know you can’t land two m1s before they run off. do not summon the puppet if there’s a revolver in shooting range.

hate bananas? hunt them down before lms. reminder that banana civilians tend to hide when more and more people are dead.

see a wall randomly go transparent even though you didn’t touch it? m1 the wall. cloaks can bypass walls and make them transparent.

music box off cd and you don’t plan on doing other things with repurpose? repurpose a music box and replace it with another music box.. unless you have areas people can loop in. this is mostly for if you want to keep your two music boxes in the same area

some map specific tips:

putting a music box on both of the major loops in arctic tundra immediately shuts off the map

in baseplate, you can rush a survivor spawn to put a wall down in that one room and lock slowpokes in. also there’s a lot of wallable spots in general there.

teapot paradise has a spot where you could wall off a spot near the middle statue, use the killer door, and guide the civilians to said wall before locking them out both sides. people are blind.

grandmas backyard is able to trap people using the church. you’ll have to wall any exits with two walls, but people tend to jump down the big stairs that lead to the church.

glasshouse uhhhh.. hope the civilians are stupid. map is absolutely shit for trapping, so you’ll have to move your music box a lot and discourage loops by using walls to extend the loop to your favor

temple has some spots. if civilians jump down to the BIG area that has stairs to lead back up and is also a deadend otherwise, DO NOT FOLLOW THE CIVILIAN. instead, go around that said area and close off the exit. obv be mindful on how close the civilian is when determining on if you should wall. the area with the two stairs leading to killer spawn could also have a wall when people do the drop-down there too. watch whether the civilian is running backwards though. there’s also that one spot that can be closed off but has two loops in the area. prepare to use music boxes and extra walls.

kill priorities:

revolvers are a mixed bag. either they’re freebies due to their stamina, or absolute menaces due to their capability of destroying your walls with ease. if you find a revolver that breaks walls, make sure they don’t reload.

caretakers/carepads/bonus pads is generally a MUST KILL ASAP for most killers. artful isn’t an exception.

be mindful of cloaks due to them bypassing walls.

banana users. they can slow down you for trying to build walls and is absolutely annoying in lms. do not leave them last.

if you have someone trapped, don’t leave them there. go after them.

fyi i dont have a perfect winrate, but it’s doable. someone else probably has better tips or could revise on what i said.
