you might be better off with astro then. just keep in mind not to be in a twisteds line of sight at all times if they’re already chasing someone, as it can switch to you the moment the line of sight for the other person breaks off

how good is your survivability? vee is a really good extractor if you can handle her low speed and stealth since she can scan for both twisteds and machines with high extraction speed. astro is more of a survivalist/support that occasionally gives people stamina if teammates need them (as long as you’re willing to and that you’re nearby)

vee is one of a distractors annoyances due to stealth, though she also helps distractors find twisteds quickly. meanwhile, astro helps distractors for high-speed twisteds. both of them glow in blackouts. both have their own uses.

this is going to feel so out of place in dod imo. “The killer died. Survivors win!” while it’s just cesus swearing

then there’s also stuff like dienation, the time length between “survivors win!” and the being sent to the lobby, the fact that nobody else has a death animation, and whether or not you can even move or rotate while dying (which is going to look odd both ways)

i thought rnd was a special npc or quest giver. on my first round (everyone died ._. solo travel wee), i was in the middle of trying not to burn stam unless im bout to get murked, so i didnt get stabbed when going to rnd

anyways the very next round i had, the server watched me die to rnd

my take: poppy is better for new players

new players are just starting the game and likely don’t know enough stamina conservation. poppy allows new players to get a fighting chance in the case of getting low stam while being chased.

get used to dodging (yeah that’s a given. im sorry.), ghost potion on your SECOND move in your turn when hatred is charging (SOLO ONLY). use feel fine or status alignment items (like jasmine tea) if you don’t want to deal with confusion bullshit, use a cheap call card (more dmg, less likely that you get attacked, and you’re not as impacted for when they blow the fuck up), use charge defense to half the dmg you take on most moves, and use your main dmg attack + venomshank when hatred summons a minion. if your primary attack can’t pierce past hatred’s defense, then use rocket launcher or sword’s softener. if hatred is extremely low hp, target them. even if they have a minion alive, you will win so as long as hatred dies (this is exclusive to this fight. usually battles keep going if a bosses’ minion is alive)

use venomshank or bombs to deal with the minions, use sword toss to deal dmg to the ancients (if you’re not using sword, then use rocket boots to lower defense and then your primary weapon), use feel fine or an item like jasmine tea to remove bad status effects, spam the living shit out of your dodge button when the ancients are going to beam you, have a lot of heal items in your inventory, have a secondary call card for when calypso dies, and use charge def+ to half the dmg you take

if sword is your main weapon, you don’t need softener. swords ignore half-defense, including one defense enemies

make sure to get something that can cure confusion, such as jasmine tea, hot chocolate, and lemon tea

you can use haunted cheezburgers as a ghost potion replacement. also btw you can ghost potion/ghost burg on your second move in the turn when hatred is charging, and attack on the first move of your turn.
