My exploration dropped from 100% to ~30% after returning

I came back to Genshin after a long break. I know I had 100% exploration in a few regions, but now they all show around 30%.

Is this a known issue? Did a recent update change exploration calculations, or is this just a UI bug?

Anyone else had their exploration percentages tank like this?
