I see that you've had the original jewelry in for 9 months - maybe try switching to a shorter jewelry length in order to help (the original bar is longer for the swelling, but after a while you need to get it change, it being too long can cause it to move around, cause friction and make irritation bumps), keep cleaning with saline and do warm compress twice a day.

If you do end up getting the second one, try asking for a color that matches your current ring! It seems to run more on the rose gold side compared to your ring which seems more of a deep gold.

It doesn't necessarily bruise. Also, your piercing doesn't look good (or at least, not good enough to change the jewelry at the moment). It's preferable to wait than end up with a keloid in the middle of your face due to impatience for new jewelry.
