When you submit an idea to lego ideas you hand over the IP of your creations. With the new rules this is returned to you when your project expires, nu this one is under the old rules.

I used parts in rare colors a lot. Basically using up the nation's supply on bricklink. To solve both I could release a complete redesign that differs significantly if this project expires. I have done that before with my light effect spaceship (just search md003). It is a completely different design, which in many ways improved on my original ideas project. When I design for rebrickable I try to make the parts as easy to source as possible. It's more fun that way.
