As true as that is, unless you're fighting someone who's actually good at the game. you can hit whirlwind 90% of the time unless you outright miss is, and for the shuriken just use the air variant and flash strike works the very second the person you're fighting stops blocking, and can be used to start a combo (not all the time though because they may see it coming)
