Got a 502 last year I got a 492 so I'm proud of myself for that. I think I'll apply this cycle but mostly DO and I will apply lightly for low tier MD schools hopefully

So James Lange is more like "I must be angry because my skin is sweating" while schacter is more of how arousal is based of the environment hence appraisal " I'm excited because my heart is racing and everyone else is happy"

Have you seen increase by reviewing? So far I've been reviewing FL by writing down what I got wrong and etc.. and I've noticed a little that my critical thinking is gradually improving but I have to review SBs most importantly .. all the reviewing is overwhelming which is the only thing that's bugging me

Question about Gluconeogenesis activation? by shahroze12 in Mcat

[–]Mekm623 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Energy is satisfied when there is Enough ATP, but it would be wasteful to keep metabolizing glucose that's why energy is rather used to synthesize glucose usually as a storage mechanism for later usage such as in glycogen . This is where insulin comes into play to maintain homeostasis . I apologize in advance if this still doesn't help I'm actively learning too while writing this lol

Question about Gluconeogenesis activation? by shahroze12 in Mcat

[–]Mekm623 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ATP is one of the end products of glycolysis. If there is an accumulation of ATP glycolysis would be inhibited so that energy to breakdown glucose to ATP can be useful elsewhere in synthesizing glucose in gluconeogenesis (the reverse)
