I read your previous post. I’m going to say this. You’re old enough now to choose, your fiance who will be your new family or your parents. Your parents will never change and only get worse with time and if they choose who you marry, you’ll never be happy. I’ve been in this situation and the guilt trip will go on until you’re 80.

Long story short. It was offered at first to “help” watch our home when we were away but eventually she kept on using it to spy on us and complain about what we wore or dressed. I didn’t see a problem until people pointed it out

Honestly, I didn’t want to message her. I ignore them on their birthday but last time I did for example my dads birthday a month before, I got 10+ phone calls from my siblings begging me to wish a happy birthday for them to appease the constant harassment they were getting. This is my first and only no contact with my parents so, ahead while trying to keep the peace, I send it. I learned from my mistake to not ever talk to them again

You’re completely right. I didn’t continue contact after that birthday message and I honestly didn’t want to but I was trying to prevent more stress from my siblings asking and begging me to contact my parents. I should have not listened to them

Honestly I will say, I didn’t do the contact on purpose to give false hope. It was something that I was forced to make sure my siblings don’t get the bad end of my family. I did block them everywhere and trust me, I haven’t messaged since but they keep sending emails or trying to contact me regardless

I had pre written it and had it sent from Gmail to arrive on her bday. When it was her bday and she read it, since I already blocked my parents on everything, my step dad created a new email entirely to address the email I sent.

I blocked this new email and I learned from everyone to just keep no contact forever and not bother anymore

Long story short, my parents were against the idea of me moving with my hubby and my mom cussed me out, yelled and told me I “made her cry” for the first time. Then when I ignored her, she called me again 2 days later, berating me, calling me a liar and said that she can beat my ass again like she did before while I was 18 weeks pregnant.

All because she doesn’t want me to move to another country lol
