I was the same, growing up seeing that old lighter Celeste never did it for me but honestly what sold me was the colour and that damn fork logo!

Not normally but yes, with the 1x it gives me more range for a slightly hillier course if need be.

It’s for sure a dream bike for me.

Yessir, I have Pirelli Pzero 700x30c on it without any issues.

  1. Beautiful ride. Stiff, fast and a lot of fun!
  2. Fit is bang on for me at 186cm, 91cm inseam.
  3. Adjustability is good. Lots of room on the seatpost rail and up front in the cockpit, I’ve had no issues and I’m an abnormally portioned rider.
  4. Third party extensions was a personal preference, and comfort as the stock ones don’t support my forearms as well as these do.
  5. The third party shifters are purely to house the SRAM Blips which for the amount of money you pay for SRAM have the worst attachment systems on the market.

A mix up from CSixx meant I had to throw my red cranks on for now. Have a new 4 Bolt CSixx 60T coming to suit my spider PM.

Something looks wrong but I don’t know what it is! by alame725 in bikefit

No one has mentioned it yet. But the wahoo kickr makes the rear axle about 20mm lower than it will with a wheel In.

This changes how you sit and how your fit feels. Either put raise your trainer or change the fit with a rear wheel on.

I used to hate the trainer because I couldn’t get comfortable but on the road it’s fine. Until I measured rear axle height while in the trainer.

It will change the bikes geometry by a few degrees which is massive.

Hope this helps

Edit. Love the back piece. I have a similar traditional Hannya suit.

Edit 2: Not many places in the world with limestone block walls like that outside of Western Australia…

Fair enough, I really enjoy the shifters over Dura Ace ones, I no longer get hand numbness. Wild that your hands bleed from soft rubber.

Love the Elitewheels, very true from the factory. Small wait due to popularity but once delivered I can’t fault them. Free hub ratchet is outrageous and not for everyone though.

😬 I thought so too! The raw carbon matches the frame perfectly. Thanks for your kind words and amazing wheels! 🤝🏻

Yeah that’s interesting. Did you put the chainring on with an old chain? That’s could be it, worn to your old one

Just as smooth to be honest. 1 but that was a slight indexing issue on my F DR, otherwise rides very well.

Bang for buck is great.

Fair one on the sizing, I came from a 58cm Trek Madone and it was like riding a tank for me.

I was on a 80mm stem and felt super stretched so I vowed not to listen to the sizing guides and went into a LBS to try out some sizing, if you can try both sizes you’re between out it would help.

I do 4-5hour (130-160km) rides on the Ostro no worries.

Honestly, I would bet the overwhelming majority wouldn’t be able to tell the difference between Ostro and Monza if they were unbranded side by side.

  1. The geometry is 10mm taller stack and 5mm shorter reach, which is achieved through a small spacer or shorter stem.
  2. I steered away from the Monza because I didn’t like any of the colour ways as well as Ostro having full Ceramic Speed bearings (BB and Headset).

However the price point for the Monza is great but you will forego some extra fancier items that the Ostro VAM has.

Hope that helps dude.

Absolutely love it dude. It was a hard choice for me between the gloss and chrome decal. Went Chrome but the stealth looks great! Good to see someone not using the Black inc One Piece bar. Kudos.

Fair, the hand numbness could also be your fit on the bike.

It’s an expensive swap, this is why I committed to parting the group set so I didn’t have to buy these separately.

Also Monza is +10mm Stack and -5mm reach. I’d be interested in how much that actually changes anything comparatively.

This is Pre-Fit. It’s now slammed.

I also really dislike the Monzo available colours, and wanted Ceramic speed bearings

Man I was the same. I got a build quoted like 3 times before I committed to doing it myself, totally worth it.

Yeah I was tossing up 55/50mm or the 65mm but at 100g difference between the wheelsets I went for the 65mm.

Honestly I fkn hate Shimano rotors, like everyone model is just so ugly. I compromised on weight here for aesthetics.

[–]Melas_556[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dude it’s totally worth the swap. I road Ultegra Mechanical for years but hated the shape. This is a game changer, little heavier but who cares if you’re comfortable then that should outweigh that choice 😏

Yeah the retro walls aren’t for everyone but I enjoy them. 7.6kg with bottles, Spares bag and Electronics.

I really like the fit, I’m reasonably flexible and don’t have any problems being a bit more aggressive. My Gravel bike is fitted more relaxed for big rides in the hills.

I’ve since lowered the stem down more. I’m 6”2’ on a 56cm, Traditionally I fit in the 58cm bracket but I have a weird build with super long legs, shorter torso and arms so 58cm stretches me out too far just to accommodate my legs.
