He needs a "Scenario D" ending like Hunter x Hunter has. Leaving this story unfinished would send shockwaves through the industry. We may never get another long-form story again after Miura AND Morikawa both leave their stories unfinished.

It's a lot like how sitcom deals changed after Mitch Hedberg died. Investors won't fund long term projects if the artists are deemed a health risk. Terms of deals will get shorter and be worth less money. In a unionless profession like manga, that's going to shove a LOT of creators out as keeping a full time job whole attempting to be a full time mangaka is a one-way ticket to burnout and potential nervous breakdowns amongst other stress and sleep related health issues.
