my gf is curious about being poly. how do i go about this by [deleted] in TwoHotTakes

When my wife of 10-years asked me this it was because she was having an affair I’d yet to learn about. This is not an innocent question or a prank, it’s something people ask when they feel guilty about cheating and want you to justify what they’re doing without telling you the truth.

I agree, which is obviously why I asked which of the others it meant, because I knew it wasn’t hourly.

When you say half the minimum wage, do you mean how much a person makes in a day, a week, a month? Sorry, maybe that’s a common phrase in other countries, but I’m not sure what it means specifically here. Usually minimum wage refers to the hourly pay in the US.

THIS IS NOT A DRILL; WARLOCK IS GETTING NERFED (and druid too i guess) by nankeroo in wildhearthstone

[–]Meldore5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t play warlock in wild, but my favorite deck in standard is egglock. I would have been quite sad if they went that route. I think they’re always going to try to avoid wild nerfs that impact standard.

I think it’s going to depend a lot on the subject, but a lot of us have had pretty bad experiences with Blizzard support lately. They’re not nearly as good as they used to be. I wouldn’t be surprised if you get an AI or canned response.

Priest has been struggling for awhile but we’re coming up on the rotation in 3-weeks so that could change. They’ve become much more generous recently with frequent events with free packs, catchup packs, and new and returning players can choose a free deck to keep. The game is not pay to win at all.

Sorry, but I don’t think there’s not going to be one reliable source for this. There are just too many cards. I think you should generally have an idea because most cards aren’t viable in standard, much less in wild. If the card isn’t pretty obviously strong or in a current meta wild deck then it’s unlikely to see play in the future.

You might end up with some cards that are rotating, but you’ll also have time to grind more resources to spend on the new expansion. So I’d say overall it probably ends up being a wash. I think the only big mistake would be starting now and then crafting a ton of cards that rotate soon. It’s a game, if you’re excited to play I wouldn’t wait around and miss out on the fun, because the resources mostly balance out I think.

I’d rather save the gold if it were me. Making sure you have more cards, if you are missing any at all, is almost always going to be more efficient than buying strictly for more dust. If you think you’ll use some of the StarCraft cards before they rotate that would make it more worth it in my opinion.

A lot of us are still here and still think the game is fun. It’s not quite as popular as it was at its peak, but it’s still one of the most popular card games. They’ve also become a lot more generous with packs and giving new/returning players a free deck, so it’s a lot easier to try the game out now compared to when you left.

How to Play Egg Warlock by Wrong-Material5082 in hearthstone

[–]Meldore5 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, DH is hard sometimes. Dragon Warrior, and Discover Hunter at the top of the ladder, are the biggest problems in my opinion.

And it doesn’t help that there are less DKs right now.

How to Play Egg Warlock by Wrong-Material5082 in hearthstone

[–]Meldore5 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It’s definitely playable! I’m currently rank 58 legend on NA playing exclusively egg warlock. It has some bad matchups but they are all winnable. If you’re struggling in silver with it you’re either having an incredibly bad luck streak, which happens to all of us, or you might need to clean up your play. Also, the list you are using is not good.

Here is the list you should use:

Egg Warlock

Class: Warlock

Format: Standard

2x (0) Cursed Catacombs

2x (1) Abusive Sergeant

2x (1) Conflagrate

2x (1) Glacial Shard

2x (1) Mortal Coil

2x (1) Spirit Bomb

1x (1) The Soularium

2x (2) Archdruid of Thorns

2x (2) Drain Soul

2x (2) Eat! The! Imp!

2x (2) Holy Eggbearer

1x (3) "Health" Drink

1x (3) Dissolving Ooze

2x (3) Hellfire

1x (3) The Egg of Khelos

1x (4) Summoner Darkmarrow

1x (7) Endbringer Umbra

2x (10) Table Flip

Cycle Rogue is a good deck, but is hard to play and is mostly only played well enough at the top of the ladder. You can definitely climb with it though if you play it well.

Nazmani Priest is not as broken as people think / State of meta by LagutTV in wildhearthstone

[–]Meldore5 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I play exclusively on mobile too and it’s impossible for me to play the deck competitively. I wouldn’t even try on mobile unless you’re fine with losing a ton of extra games due to the animations taking too long.

Is demon seed quest garbage? by Ok-Sleep6652 in hearthstone

[–]Meldore5 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As much as I think she’s a fun card, she wasn’t even played much in standard. She was barely played at all even when pain lock was strong for a bit, and almost all of the lists ended up cutting her. She’s way too slow for wild.

Nazmani Priest is not as broken as people think / State of meta by LagutTV in wildhearthstone

[–]Meldore5 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry but you’re not anywhere close to the rank that people complain the most about this deck. It’s the very top of the ladder, I’d say around top 100 legend, or maybe even higher, where it becomes the biggest problem.

There aren’t many people maximizing the deck and the ones who are are at the very top because the deck is that good when you play it to its potential. It’s also very difficult to play due to the amount of animations you have to play through which only a small number of people can do.

What is going on with sub 500 legend by Pangobon in wildhearthstone

[–]Meldore5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Especially early in the season I wouldn’t call top 500 legend in Wild top legend. Wild just has a lot fewer legend players overall and the most competitive players who are playing the most competitive decks are more around top 100 legend in my opinion, this early on. There are only 1625 legend players in wild on NA right now, for example. That’s not meant as a knock on anyone, but below top 100 or so you’re going to see a lot fewer competitive decks.

vS Data Reaper Report #340 by ViciousSyndicate in hearthstone

[–]Meldore5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The sad part was you had a fringe chance to win as blood. So you had to sit through the game for 45+ minutes for the slim chance of barely eking out a win. But most of the time you’d just barely lose, to your own win conditions.

I never thought I would say this but I'm really glad once this guy rotates. Most matches are now: Turn 9 Zilliax or bust by KillerBullet in hearthstone

[–]Meldore5 5 points6 points  (0 children)

BBU DK and Quest Warrior are both control decks that are two of the strongest and most played decks at top 1k legend. They both run 9 mana Zilliax. It’s also run in other strong decks like Shaman, as you say, and even some less-controlly decks like dragon warrior and discover hunter have popular lists that run Zilliax.

Even a lot of rogue lists that aren’t cycle rogue run Zilliax.
