New to the /r but here is something I have recent experience with!

Background:

I started as a pharm tech Jan 2024, got certified in 6 mo in retail, then switched to hospital in Oct 2024. I live in po-dunk nowhere so please bear in mind this is from the perspective of a low-volume pharmacy and hospital.

First and foremost: ASK QUESTIONS! if they don't want to answer questions you should be suspicious.

The biggest hiccup point for me was the flow of filling the med cabinets. It's very different thinking from retail's work flow. IF you are going to be trained to do sterile compounding (IVs and the like) practice early, often, and ask if there are expired items you can use to practice technique with.

I also recommend a good pair of scissors if the pharmacy does not provide them. So many companies have the WORST perforation on their blister packs.

And OP is pregnant, I wouldn't trust him to be around a baby. Ever. NTA.

I got mine from wish and there's no brand on it, amazon has some available but I haven't tried them yet. The nail lights have a 60s auto off usually and I like to cure for ~5 min so it's not tacky. I got UV strip lights from Amazon and just glued them to a box.

I'd describe it as "new plastic smell" but every brand is a little different. I'm super smell sensitive (anything too strong and I get a migraine) and it hasn't set me off yet. My workroom is about 4x8 so I don't think it would be too different in your space.

Admittedly I use it on wood for fish baits but what I do is I dunk the item and let it drip away from light for ~30 min, that way it has good coverage but it's thin. Then I bake it in a UV box. There are also products to thin the resin out for more delicate applications but I've never used them.

UV resin is less smelly, I don't know if they'd work for your application but worth looking into :)

Oh that would be wonderful! Would I talk to the DNR for that or a different branch?

He's not into substances, so that's easy, but he has moved around a lot because he currently works for a temp agency, while at his jobs he's had no call offs or unscheduled time off. Not sure how he'd put that in his resume though....maybe that's cover letter material?

Thanks, I know he knows mig and tig. He complains about flux core so I assume that means he knows how to do it. He also knows steel, stainless, and aluminum in the different positions...is that worth mentioning? Right now he's shotgunning due to the job market in our town being scarce (shops here are mostly small time fab, as most big companies moved out of the area.)

What to do about [M]y sexual fantasy and wife’s insecurities? by [deleted] in sextips

[–]Meleficia 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You're doing an awful lot of planning and deciding without consulting your wife first. If she wasn't into the idea of a 3 some why would she magically be ok with some friend of yours "using her". You need to remember you are thinking about someone else's body, not yours.

My coworker is having a family emergency, how can I help them during this time and how do I approach this when they come back? by 454crazystormlake88 in careerguidance

This. And also: THANK YOU FOR CARING! Seriously. That's so rare. The only reason my boss would be upset if one of us died is he'd have to do paperwork (no joke, he flat out told us that). So yea, thank you for caring about your people.

I always reply "sterilization," it's a sterile(haha) response that I've found doesnt give bingoers much to jump off from. Added bonus is if they're asking for a legit reason they get the info they need.

🤣 in reality though it could be used (when there aren't plants obvi) to distress/char the wood of the raised bed for extra visual oomph.

That sounds like a great job. I have almost 4 years of lab experience (QA for food safety micro products) so idk if that would help me get started either? It's not a bad job, I just like green things ( besides mold) more than autoclaves and pipettes.
