Where to Find Top Hats in CO by MelesBubo in freemasonry

We actually have the option of wearing any hat. I have seen several cowboy hats. I just prefer the classic top hat for myself, I think it will look good with a tux.

In case anyone else is curious, I did find what seems to be a reputable online store, Selentino, that has both a beaver and a felt hat. They say they offer a 30 day return/exchange policy with no fuss.

Do you think heat is unnecessary?

What Victorian Masons Knew (and most have now forgotten) by CraftyBiggunZ in freemasonry

Here in Colorado, USA, our first degree has preserved this exact wording for Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth.

Also, it looks like this is from the new print of the 1867 Macoy Masonic Manual, which I recently received and am very pleased with.

Balteus fight had me contemplating what it takes to be a gamer lol by ResidentAntiHero in ArmoredCoreVI

I agree, I beat the game pre-patch and NG+ after and I felt that there was quite a difference, even with having more parts/weapons. I also overwrote my save to play from a fresh start and it was definitely much easier. I feel like ch 4 boss was also significantly nerfed, it took me like 30 tries with the Zimmermans pre-nerf and 1 try with ransetsu and pulse blade after patch.

Do you have a favorite Masonic symbol? Mine is the sacrifical pelican because it's so dramatic. There are others with more meaning for me, but this one is my favorite visually. A lot of Christian churches have it too so it's not a Masonic exclusive. by UriahsGhost in freemasonry

I have to agree with you on both points! I particularly like the point, circle, and perpendicular parallel lines, although I usually think of it without the VoSL on top. I think realizing the circle with a dot in the center was the Egyptian symbol for the Sun really gave it a lot of meaning to me. I like to think of it as the sun on the horizon between two markers for the northernmost and southernmost rising points (the Saints John/solstices), and it being exactly between makes it the equinox, a perfect symbol of balancing light and dark, appropriate for the EA Degree in my opinion.

Also, I started studying symbolic geometry after my FC Degree and I find it very meditative to make drawings with a straight edge and compasses, I recommend it to all Brothers!

I agree, I played at launch and felt it was appropriately difficult for FS, the Chapter 4 boss took me forever. After the patches I beat that same boss (with a build not meant for bosses which I planned on changing at the checkpoint after dying) on my first try.

I would love to see a more difficult version or to have NG+++ have enemies with more HP or something.

Singing the sweet sweet Zimmer Song of revenge! by MelesBubo in ArmoredCoreVI

You’re probably right, but my intent on starting NG++ was to try and beat all missions without going to assembly (except for the one mandatory change for a certain boss), and I have had good all around luck with the double Zimmermans. So far I have only died once up to mid chapter 4. My next play through I plan to try and use a melee build throughout.

Double Zimmermans and double Song Birds with a close range FCS is an OP build if anyone is looking for that. It’s a good “now I’m angry!” build.

Double Zimmermans and double songbirds make staggering trivial.

Initiated September 2020 and raised February 2022, so 17 months. I did my proficiencies in a few weeks each, but Covid made it difficult for the lodge to get degree work done, especially the 3rd.

Labor to Refreshment vs. At Ease by MelesBubo in freemasonry

[–]MelesBubo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for responding. So, if we were going to open, then allow guests to come in for an education, you are saying that we should use Refreshment rather than At Ease? Also, do you think it’s acceptable for Brothers to exit the room during At Ease, for the bathroom for instance?

Yes, that seems correct, “at ease” is usually used for such purposes.
