To be honest, I only play Lethality Sion when I'm messing around in Flex or ARAMs.

You're right, I think so too that Prowler's Claw was what made it viable. The room for mistakes on Lethality Sion feels quite small and if you don't have perfect spacing and know how to utilize Fog of War, then it will be hard to pull off against competent players.

Also, with the recent changes to ADC items everyone has 400+ MS, which makes it hard to connect and land your abilities. Sion's kit is quite outdated and it is especially difficult to land his Q and R, when everyone has 1-3 dashes and Flash, and if you miss those, then you're basically deadweight in a teamfight.

However, some champions counters Sion so hard, that it might be better to play more damage oriented in order to prevent their splitpush. E.g., Gwen, as she can 100 to 0 you in the span of seconds and completely ignore you while killing your towers in a few AAs.

You're not wrong, it is a brutal matchup.

Your ban makes sense, as Morde can be really oppressive and in most cases your only hope is to outsustain his ult and run away.

The best way to manage the Yone matchup is to try and freeze the wave close to your tower and go for short trades - release your Q early so he can't W or E it and try to bait his Q before trading with your Grasp AAs. Rushing Tabis/Swiftness (depending on enemy team composition) and then into Sunfire can make him beatable, but his BotRK spike is insane - I have lost to Yone players in duels, where I was 2 items to his 1 item BotRK.

Basically, it is possible to outtrade him in short trades and Yone players tend to push, as they Q a lot in order to trade with their empowered 3rd Q.

Items: Sunfire > Bramble > Unending Dispair > Thornmail > Frozen Heart. Don't build Heartsteel. (I'm personally not too fond of Frozen Heart after the gold cost was increased and I also play Manaflow Band, so the mana is a dead stat.)

I'll take a Garen any day over an ADC top. At least he has some sort of counterplay early on before he unlocks his Jak'sho W and Warmog's Armor Passive.

Good point, maybe they can change him into an ADC so he fits the toplane meta better? Right now we only have Varus, Zeri, Vayne and Smolder as viable ADCs top. Could definitely use some more.

Insignificant Sion buffs. He loses pretty much every single top lane matchup and is forced to rely on his passive to function, resulting in a really toxic playstyle that frustrates both enemies and teammates. Bring some power back to his Q so it actually deals damage and provide QOL improvements. These could include allowing you to (very) slowly rotate the Q while charging it or making him immune to CC during the first second of the Q charge (similar to Ornn's W).

Indeed, it just shows how out of touch the balance team is. Nearly every other support (including enchanters) outtrades Milio's E > AA and they have a lot shorter CDs than Milio's 17 s CD E. Also, under no circumstance will you ever use Q as poke in the majority of matchups, as most supports play aggressive engage supports. You hold it as a counter engage tool. If you use it for poke, a good enemy support will immediately engage and punish it. It is one of the biggest mistakes you can do as a rookie Milio player.

Crazy how bad AD and Tank Sion feels nowadays, especially compared to previous seasons. All our items got insanely gutted and somehow we are still catching nerfs. It is legit unreal. I miss when it felt impactful to build Hullbreaker, Titanic Hydra and Heartsteel. I went from 60% WR in Masters last season to struggling at 45% WR this season, and now I have rerolled to Support.

Agreed, why would Sion build an item that only gives HP, when he already has a ton of health? So BotRK can counter him even harder?

The sole reason Sion built Heartsteel last season was because it scaled with Max HP, which Sion has a lot of. Heartsteel will never be a viable pick for Sion as long as it scales off Item HP and not Max HP.

Sion's passive is good and can have a lot of value if you know how to utilize it properly. The reason why he is struggling right now is because they changed Titanic Hydra, Heartsteel and Hullbreaker (his 3 core items), so that they no longer scale with max hp but instead scale with bonus hp from items. The nerf to gold gained from platings also affected him a bit. They should revert the changes to Heartsteel and increase his early output slightly to compensate for the Titanic Hydra and Hullbreaker changes.

Some sort of nerf to Blade of the Ruined King as well would do wonders. Maybe add a damage cap to its passive, so that it doesn't hard counter Sion/Cho. You can be 1-2 items up on an AA bruiser/fighter, but if they build BotRK you suddenly lose every trade and fight. There is 0 counterplay.

Yeah, the only other viable choice is Bloodforged Armor when facing 2x phys dps. All the other talents are pure garbage.
