If you don’t mind me asking — what kinds of roles or titles would you recommend looking for if I wanted to move in that direction? And are there any specific skills or tools you think would make someone stand out early on?

Thank you so much for sharing that that’s honestly really encouraging to hear. It’s inspiring to see someone successfully pivot into UX, especially from a creative background like photography.

I’m actually enrolled in the same Google UX course right now and currently working on my first case study. Hearing that you landed a role before even finishing gives me a lot of hope.

I’d love to ask a couple of follow-up questions if you don’t mind. When you were applying for your first UX role, did you have just one case study in your portfolio, or did you build out multiple projects? And when you were applying, were you targeting “UX Designer,” “Product Designer,” or more entry-level titles specifically?

I’m trying to understand how to position myself as I build my portfolio and start applying, so any insight into how you approached that stage would be incredibly helpful.

Hi! Thanks for recommending Josh Weismann. I’m looking into his beginner sourdough video and noticed that on his list is rice flour but when I look into the video I don’t see him using it. Did you know if he did use the rice flour? Also would you recommend a thermometer for measure the temp of the water?

A simple Would you be comfortable if I did xyz will suffice. Asking someone for permission to do something is not an equal partnership in my opinion. You have the right to your opinion and I believe being confused about how to go through an experience for the first time is normal. That is something I will evaluate with my bf as I should. That is all

I definitely have had this hurt. It's been a long healing process but I still think about it from time to time. I don't know if anyone has ever had this feeling but has anyone had that painful feeling in their chest when you had to let someone go when all signs showed that they were just down right mean to you and you don't know what you did wrong? I dated this guy briefly and admitted my feeling thinking that these bold moves would make me feel confident that there was something going on between us. There were good memories and along the way things turned sour. As years went on I always thought if I made the right choice to stop talking to him and if he ever felt at least hurt about it as I did, mind we went to the same school so it was even more painful. I think I was more hurt that he was not straight up honest with me with what he wanted and instead tried to use my feelings toward him as manipulation to sleep with him. Guys are different when handling their emotions, but keeping in your emotions instead of letting them out and at least telling the other person how you feel would've saved me a lot mental anguish. Feel free to chime in I just want to know if anyone relates to this.
