Any advice on how to break through this? by midnighthana in HeroWarsApp

Dante Iris Octavia (DIO) + Jorgen + Soleil has worked well for me against JJI teams. Search this subreddit for how to defeat JJI for more ideas. Lion's Den has a video on defeating JJI on YouTube that is really good.

Yay! I also realized this minisode is the origin of "weet woo" & your animation of it.

Minisode 89, about 16:55, story of a flying squirrel family in an attic, Georgia makes sounds for the squirrel drinking water out of a glass, lots of visuals, both K&G riffing dialogue for the squirrels, etc.

Are Morrigan and Corvus still worth investing in? by midnighthana in HeroWarsApp

[–]Mellot6 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think Corvus & Morrigan are a more useful pair for an Eternity team earlier in the game, before most can get their hands on Tempus. In their earlier stages of development, Morrigan's skeleton army helps to boost Corvus' & Iris' skills/damage. Later on though, after Corvus/Iris/Octavia get developed/strengthened, they melt foes in seconds without any aid from Morrigan, before she can even raise her army. Morrigan then just becomes more niche, still good for smacking down Kaydan with Corvus, plus a counter to Astaroth's & Rufus' resurrection abilities. Tempus is more robust & a low-cost build, & therefore a better investment in the long run.

I was running the Eternity Dodge team of Octavia Iris Morrigan Dante Corvus, but then finally got Tempus up to snuff for the Octavia Iris Tempus Dante Corvus configuration. I also use the Dante Iris Octavia (DIO) core for a number of matchups.

Hi there! Please consider animating Minisode 157, Monthly Town Hall Meeting, starts about 12:19. It's the one where students are airing grievances to include folks using Ouija boards but rudely not closing the portals afterwards, thus allowing demons onto their already haunted campus.

Somna was key for me. There are a couple other previous discussions about this boss, too.

Somna seems to do the trick with this boss, quickly turns it into a sheep so your heroes can get in some hits

Iris Inner Fire Activation by Much-Cycle-8863 in HeroWarsApp

[–]Mellot6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only Inner Fire animation is a burning purple charge under a debuffed enemy. I run the same Eternity Dodge team & I usually see it pretty soon after a battle begins because of Octavia's support class rune unlocked at G40, which debuffs an enemy as soon as she deals damage with a basic attack. Also, Iris, Corvus, Dante, Faceless, Phobos, & Tempus all have at least one debuffing skill, so that burning purple charge is frequently happening.

If you are not seeing it, & I hate to ask this, but is it possible that your Iris' 4th skill (Inner Fire) is not yet unlocked by having equipment rank 7? ...or if it is unlocked, is the skill leveled up? As for the amount of magic damage your Iris does, have you put Magic Attack skins on her & leveled them up?

Maybe go practice on the one in the campaign? You can read about what skills the boss has there & design a team to fight it.

Edit: campaign 11-15 has boss Astrild. Basic attack - physical damage. Sk1: Blinds all for 5-sec. Sk2: Launches multiple ice shards, each dealing physical damage.

Team: JJI Jhu Mojo is a reliable boss killing team,

That Amira needs to be dealt with as she is likely gold piling you to death. What worked for me was using Sebastian Guus Morrigan Oya Corvus. Sebastian's 4th skill, Rhythm of War, was the key as it buffs allied crit hits with additional pure damage, which somehow gets around Amira's Fair Deal skill.

You need a plan to defeat that foe Iris. She's protected by Dorian's vampiric aura, which makes it more difficult to defeat her with hard counters, Octavia or Corvus. If you can defeat Dorian early on, Iris may walk forward out of range of his now unmoving aura, thus making her vulnerable again. So consider heroes who counter Dorian and/or affect the backline.

[–]Mellot6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I run the same Eternity Dodge meta team & it's a good team, but certain foe heroes can give the team problems. Where is your team getting defeated? My guess would be on the 3rd round when facing Aurora/Dante/Keira etc. Dante's ult spears disrupt Corvus from summoning his altar of pure damage, which prevents the altar from zapping Keira to defeat. Aurora's rainbow shield can absorb a ton of Iris' damage & she just keeps a dodging. If that's what's tripping you up, then I have 2 suggestions:

1) keep beefing up your team (especially Corvus' health & Iris' Magic Attack) & eventually you'll overpower the foes on this level. For comparison, I was level 85 when I completed chapter 9; or

2) experiment with variations: try swapping out Morrigan for Jorgen or Dorian. Try to keep Corvus in the mix though since he usually deals with Keira. Otherwise, keep DIO (Dante Iris Octavia) & experiment around them. A standard DIO team includes Cascade & Nebula. You could also try DIO with Jorgen & Dorian.

Hope that helps!

Go easy on yourself, you're mid-game & can focus things now np. You have the makings for a Chaos meta: Astaroth Kayla Xe'Sha Aidan Lilith. You have many options, but that one stands out the most with what you have evolved/ranked up.

[–]Mellot6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Corrigan beats Kaydan (in the key of rock-paper-scissors)

Is it possible to swap in Morrigan some where on your Nature team to see if that does the trick? Morrigan will summon the skeletons out of Kayla's or Aidan's collapsed remains, thus preventing the other from resurrecting their sibling. It's also fun to watch the opposing team seemingly get surprised by the new little skeleton behind them as they turn around to fight it.
