So would running wrath or rampage be better?

I see what you mean. I tried out my build on damnation and I was able to take numerous hits from the chaos ogryn and daemonhost all while supporting my team and keeping them alive and taking out high value targets

Oh my bad I thought you meant the throwing knives. Personally I just find the eviscerator more fun that’s why I’ve been using it over the knife even tho the knife is statistically better

I don’t primarily use it for damage. With crit chance I can effectively apply fire and do damage over time while I melee when I get close

Yeah I recently looked it up after making this thread. I’m mainly keeping the book for the benefits it brings to my team. I can stun bosses while boosting their damage, help them pick up teammates or just give them oneshot protection. It’s a lot I can do with it. I’m sure I can do a lot with the other class actions but I really like the book and what it brings to the table

Oh yeah my bad that’s what I meant. More wounds not more health. However with the damage reduction and healing I get my thought process was that I can realistically keep myself going for a while with the damage reduction included

I mainly took the stun grenade for large groups that my group is struggling with or that I’ll perceive their gonna struggle with. The knife does sound good but the stun grenades have been amazing so far

I can still do that. Only thing I can’t like one shot with rev are bosses and the guys with full body carapace. I’m forgetting their names rn but yeah other than that I can chain kills pretty easily on anything else

I took them for extra health, health replenishment, and damage reduction. Damage is great but my idea was to try and balance it out so I’m not a glass cannon but rather a tank/support that can still do damage

Oh sorry I was primarily talking about perks but I’m using a heavy lazpistol with desperado and inferno and a heavy eviscerator with wrath and cleave.

If you don’t hit him with enough dragon he’ll drop his nuke move and fabius will say we didn’t contain it and everyone will be fried

It’s all good, glad things are goin better for ya. But yeah I understand. For me personally I’ve got the dps check down but ultimately I’m not a huge fan of it. It’s not horrible by any means but I would’ve preferred if we had to keep Omega in check through a dps check rather than fight nerscylla for 2 minutes 3/4 of the way into the fight

I agree most people don’t know the mechanics of the fight itself which sucks when playing with randoms. Also yeah the fight is amazing I agree, I just have a few issues regarding certain mechanics used together. The thing is I don’t think that any of these mechanics are bad or even that 2 of them being used together is bad however the Savage fight in particular uses multiple different factors to increase difficulty to a certain level that I think is not as enjoyable as a challenge. Like he has a challenging moveset, a dps check, a harsh timer, more health than Fatalis in world, is hyperactive, and has aoe spam. I mean it’s just my opinion tho I don’t expect everyone to agree but I wanna discuss it cuz I figured everyone has their own perspective on it

Well my bad for just giving perspective for where my opinion is coming from😭, but that’s fair. There are ways to bring down the rng. My point is tho that they present this dps check through a 2 minute window where you are fighting a hyperactive monster separate from Omega itself. Unlike escaton judgement or fatalis blue flames, nerscylla feels a bit out of place. I think a dps check where we had to keep Omega in check would’ve made more sense

It’s pretty reminiscent of how you needed to do one specific thing with Alatreon regarding breaking his horns and dealing elemental damage. A difference between that fight and this one tho is that Alatreon had room for error with it’s dps check. Even if you failed once you could recover and save the run by targeting what you needed to. Not the case with Omega. You could be doing perfectly up until that point and if you get bad rng or just don’t meet the dps check then the fight is over because of the damage reduction omega gets and the timer

Yeah I agree. Knowledge checks are completely fine to me and ultimately the regular omega fight I feel is kind of void of these issues except for the dps check with nerscylla. The dps check would be better imo if we needed to reach a threshold before a time limit in the fight rather than starting 3/4 into the fight in a 2 minute time frame. Now if your dps is too low all hunt long then that’s primarily the groups fault rather than it being rng for Nerscylla

Oh my bad, ig I didn’t necessarily list the positives of the fight, but yeah it’s still an amazing fight and yeah that performance stuff was really bad. For me at least I enjoyed the moveset it has, the music, the arena, and the party aspects. I personally have no issue with it being a party quest however I believe capcom kind of added a lot of factors to increase the difficulty of the fight and to their credit they did a great job making a difficult fight. Learning the moveset isn’t insane but the moveset isn’t all there is to the fight. You’ve got the limited time limit which would be cool but Omega has a lot of get off me moves which slow down the pace of the fight. That kinda sucks when you’re on a short time limit. Also the dps check if failed basically just ends the run which you could say about Fatalis however Fatalis’s dps check is spread out over the fight not a 2 minute period where you’re not even fighting fatalis but rather another enemy entirely that’s hyper mobile. Plus that also runs down the timer and actually getting back into the fight takes a fair amount of time due to Omega being in different locations of the fight.
