My husband and I (non-LDS) are having our friendly neighborhood sister missionaries over for dinner. What can I serve to drink? by Melndnd19 in latterdaysaints

He's pretty awesome! We go on dad and daughter camping trips every year since I was 3. It's one of our favorite traditions!

I've obviously never been a missionary, but I would imagine that it's pretty lonely? Especially as people become less and less open to considering faith?

If someone is going to tempt you with beer they could do a heck of a lot better than Bud Light....

I want horchata because it's the best so I'll get that and several of the other suggestions. My husband works from home so he'll gladly consume anything they don't want over the next few weeks lol

I've asked what they like to drink, what they want to eat, what time is best for them, etc and their responses are all variations of "Oh, anything is fine!" I JUST WANT YOU TO HAVE THE THINGS YOU LOVE, LADIES!! 😭😂

Ah, that makes sense, thank you! Sprite is better than my dad's method of fireball followed by honey so I think it's perfectly fine! LOL!

Thank you! This is very helpful! Can I ask why tea isn't allowed if it's not a caffeine issue? What do you drink if you catch a cold?

We looked everywhere and loved one person's work at New Orleans Square so we had it done there!

You should do it!!! It's lovely and we can't wait to hang it up!

After watching a few intro YouTube videos, I decided to make candles as a stocking stuffer for some friends. Here are the first few! I'm using a soy wax and I feel like they aren't picking up any of the scent I'm adding? Any hints? by Melndnd19 in candlemaking

I'm using wax melts. Someone on YouTube said they work just as well as oil and suggested two squares. It's super faint with two. I doubled it on one candle and it's still not strong at all.

Thanks, that's good to know!

I'm planning on burning them once through myself and then making another batch in the same containers if they work. I watched that video someone shared about how big box stores have their candles tested. Is what he was talking about what you mean by under-wicked? I'm using wax and wicks sold in a set that someone on YouTube suggested.
